I've got as many BCBS coming too me as I want, 2 coffee, 2 BW and 2 uninfected '15 BCBS. Not bad considering I had to work all morning and didn't have to wait in a single line. Would've liked another Regal and Rare but hey, wadaya gonna do. Did have some Regal on Wednesday night though and it's tasting very good right now.

Check your bottles, folks. We did our release at 1 today, and it was fast and furious as you can imagine, until we realized our distributor had snuck in cases of bad 2015s with our cases of 2016s. We checked the bottling dates online and sure enough, they are bad.
Since the cases look practically identical and the bottles look absolutely identical except for the date on the neck tag, you may not have even noticed until you got home.
We can't be the only store this happened to.

That is absolute horse shit. There's no way that was an accident. I'm pretty sure I've bought my last GI product after this nonsense.

We got some 2015s as well but the 13.7% and I don't recall any problems with them.

I checked as soon as I was offered a '15 at another store. Luckily I checked the dates online last week of '15 infected batches, so I knew what to look for. There were good '15 cases out there.

I think it had more to do with dates than %'s but maybe certain %'s were bottled outside the timeframe... I dunno.

Nine bottling dates — Oct. 9, Oct. 12, Oct. 21, Oct. 22, Oct. 23, Oct. 26, Oct. 30, Nov. 4 and Nov. 5 — were recalled, though the brewery hasn't said how much of the total production was tainted. [source]

Remember Goose only made the beer. And they offered refunds and recalled it. You should be boycotting the distributer and maybe the store for a lack of attention to detail.

The ones we got had Oct 30 as the bottling date.

Though bottles stamped with these dates will surely be difficult to move and are all bad from that perspective, I can say with certainty that not all bottles with these dates are actually infected. It just significantly raises your chance of infection. I had a bottle marked Oct 23 that I drank a couple of months ago -- right after the news that some regular BCBS was also infected ended up reaching me but well after the GI refund offer had closed, so I figured better now than never and it's either going to be delicious or a drain-pour -- and it was 100% fine.

That's all good and fine... but from a customer service standpoint, due to AB's negligence, we sold product that was on an official recall under the guise of selling new product. That is pretty fkkd up no matter how you look at it.

Honestly I don't buy GI stuff anyhow other than BCBS and I really don't care for it anymore. I'm not boycotting Davidsons as they are my local and did this unknowingly, then manned up when they found out. As for looking up who the distributor and figuring all that out...Not gonna happen, I am a lazy American who really is doing the very least he can do by not buying a product I rarely buy.

The distributor is the real asshole in this whole scenario who pulled some real bush league shit. Why wasn't this product sent back to GI or destroyed when it was recalled?

Correct me if I'm wrong but IIRC chango's distributor for this beer would be an AB owned distributor, right? Whether Standard or AB of Denver?

The 2 I bought were bottled October 12th. Same as when I bought them last year
I'll pop the cap on one later today.

It's through Bud. I'm not that surprised when a huge company has strange issues with distribution, but something specifically allocated that stores are fighting to get is definitely weird.

Not looking for variants. I was in Chicago this weekend and Got a BW and Coffee.

But just wondering... anywhere close to Englewood that may just Regular 2016?

FYI: The 2016's are stellar. I get it... BCBS messed up. But the pasteurization process really did the trick.

@phroztbyt3 it's a bit early to declare the issue is solved. It took months for that infection to show up in bcbs.
