So I am moving and am trying to get rid of a bunch of stuff, including some empty bottles I kept around as display. I was just about to recycle my empty '11 Blabaer bottle and thought some of the bottle collectors might want this one. I wouldn't be looking for anything crazy, maybe a RR sour, FFF bomber, CCB 750, 1x BCBS, etc. Nothing super crazy, but yeah! I'm not trying to be a jerk and capitalize on an rare empty bottle, I just had a hard time just tossing it like a shelf 12oz. when I know how many people collect bottles out there. Just looking for honest feed back about this. Any feedback would be awesome! Thanks!

Again, I'm not looking to capitalize here with just an empty bottle, I just couldn't toss the thing in the recycling bin when I know people collect empty bottles. I've seen a bunch of ISO posts of people looking for specific empty bottles. If it seems like a dick move, I'm sorry. I'm not trying to get something for virtually nothing, but if someone wants it, I would rather them have it then if I just recycle it.

Oh no worries man! I didn't neccessarily think you thought it was wrong, I just wanted to make it very clear to people reading this thread my intentions and I'm not trying to be a dick or capitalize on an empty bottle. I just wanted to kind of see what other traders think about it. I don't want to post a FT and piss people off!

cant take it with? It is just one bottle. The way fake beers are "popping" up, I destroy every great bottle I dont keep. Ya know, dont want the snow ball to turn in to a snow asshole.

not to be too judge-y, but here's what i'd do if i had a rare "collectible" empty bottle that i didn't want to go to waste:

    FT: empty blabaer bottle
    ISO: nothing

or maybe see if someone wants it but note that you don't want to bother shipping an empty bottle so you want to package it with a locals/locals trade or something... i don't know. if someone wants to send you a supplication for an empty blabaer bottle, more power to both of you.

Ehhh! Would rather not! I have a weird living situation going on right now for the next month or two, and I am trying to do a purge of stuff! But yeah, I didn't think about the whole counterfeit bottle crap going on! That's food for thought! Thanks B!

oof, wow, for once i wasn't cynical/suspicious enough. yeah, unfortunately, i'd probably suspect anyone who wants an empty blabaer bottle and isn't a well-known trader/beer personality type to be a counterfeiter. life sucks.

How about just take the label? Saves a whole lot of space and but you'll still have something to remember, unless you really don't want/need it. But if there's someone who really wants it, then it's a still win/win situation.

That's the thing. I don't really need it or want it any more. I would rather it go to someone who really wants it and is looking for that bottle or a bottle like it if they are a collector. If not, I would rather just recycle it!

Are you really fishing for offers on an empty bottle? You should try reddit.

You could sell it on ebay for, what, like $200? Or whatever bottles of Blabaer used to go for, as those prices were for the containers, not the contents. I think it's fair.

Are you really judging this guy without reading any of the rest of the thread? If someone wants it and is willing to trade something for it, fine, otherwise he said he'll just recycle it.

Send it as an extra in a trade. Someone will shit their pants for 2 seconds before realizing it's empty. And then they will just be left wearing full of shit pants.

    Hilarious.

    Anyone have Jegross's address?

This is a thread fishing for offers on an empty bottle. I read the posts. The OP seems unwilling to let it go for free, so he made the thread hoping someone would make an offer.

I will trade some empty Billy Beer cans for it. Of course you will still be left with the situation you are in, but think about it.

Full beer for an empty Blabaer? Mmmmm, I'm thinking no.

So you'd rather just throw it away ("recycle it") than give it away for nothing if you get no offers for it? Are you being serious here?
