Awesome! Will definitely do that. Want to bring some stuff back for friends as much as myself, so anything beyond the crowlers that you'd recommend? Or is the NoDa stuff pretty much the best you'll find in cans?

Other than Olde Meck, those are IMO the best of the Charlotte breweries. I haven't had any cans from Triple C, but a couple of their draft beers have been good...that spot is probably on your list.

3C IPA from Triple C is a muuuuch better beer than Hop Drop and I highly recommend . Mexicali Stout from Birdsong is badass. As said before, hit up Wooden Robot and Heist but dont miss out on Triple C either.

Grab some Good Will Hopping from Noda if it's around anywhere yet. Not sure if Triple C golden girl is out now or not. That is a coffee blonde ale I like (not a fan of golden boy, which is just the blonde ale). Birdsong Mexicali is great. And the rest what everyone said above.

Heist is key. If you like the Juice bomb IPAs they are in a class by themselves right now.

I have not tried yet, but hearing good things about Legion Brewing and their Juicy J IPA. High Branch in Concord is making great NE IPA's too!

Do they can or bottle Long Stride? Or draft only? Sometimes App Vintner in Asheville gets Bond Brothers on tap so will have to look out for this.

Unfortunately not. They do however offer crowlers at the brewery or when it undoubtedly goes on tap at ridgewood you can get crowler/growler fills there I believe.

I had high hopes for Good Will Hopping, but it fell short of my expectations given the description on the beer stating "North Eastern IPA". In my eyes that implied a hazy juice bomb, but instead it was just an ordinary IPA. Many Untappd reviews shared my experience. Just my opinion though.

I have a case of each Par 4 and Coco Loco sitting in my fridge that I got as a gift. I am going into those with modest expectations, but hoping to be surprised.

I don't think the first batch of Long Stride left the immediate area, but I assume there will be more of it this time and that it might. Will be interesting to see how the citra version compares.

But yeah BB hasn't packaged anything yet, crowlers there and growlers at various places that offer them are the only to-go options for now.

Juicy J is pretty damn good. Not super "juicy" but it does have a great aroma.

Agree. Had Good Will Hopping last night. Definitely not what is advertised on the can. Just a regular ol IPA trying to cash in by saying its something its not.

I'm a Juicy Jay fan. I thought it was just okay when I first stopped by Legion in January, but really dug it when I went back in August. Might not be the "best" in CLT, but absolutely worth trying if you hit up Legion.

Has the hazy thing going for it and is good but disappoints because you expect the juice bomb due to it's appearance.

Long Stride b2 out now, grabbed a growler of it yesterday. Thought the first round was just a little bit better, but it's still solidly a top tier DIPA for the state.

You guys have an amazing brewery scene there in Charlotte. It's not like every brewery has omg must have beers but the four I went to (NoDa, Bird Song, Free Range, and Legion) all had perfectly good beers in an amazing atmosphere. Such a cool place to hang out, watch a game, be with friends or family, etc... and each unique in their own right.

As per this thread Juicy J was by far my pick of the bunch that I had down there. There were some other good ones (NoDa's NE Day IPA prob a distant second) but Juicy J was elite. If they do can I will be seeking them out up here in NJ for sure. Very jealous of the whole scene you guys have down there. Great city and hope to re-visit sometime soon
