Abraxas is the most overpriced non-barrel aged stout on the market. Why are people paying close to $30 for a non-BA stout? What other brewery gets away with that sort pricing?

The trifecta of hype, limited availability and too much disposable income?

Perennial in general is one of the most overpriced breweries on the planet. Abraxas and Sump are two of my favorites, but I'm just never going to spend $25+ on them.

What a deal. The price/quality of their One Hitter series beers are amazing. This years Born Yesterday was a game changer regarding the hazy IPA's that are coming out at like $18 - $24 per 4/pack. Haven't had this years High Westified, but last year's was one of the better BBA stouts I've had. Economies of scale'd.

    This ^

Born Yesterday was up there with any of the hazy juice bombs. I bought one six pack, drank three of them and went right back and bought three more. And I rarely buy a case of anything.

High Westified in six packs?!? Yowza

Friend said Arrowine got 7 cases of BGBS and had a 4pp limit and already sold out.

Jeez - I remember seeing BGBS everywhere last year and it sitting until Christmas. Is that not the case anymore?

I was at Hardywood Saturday for the Rum GBS release and they were about out of BGBS at Hardywood. Last year I believe they had BGBS even at the KCM release. Seems like they either made less or it was more popular this year (I think the latter).

FYI, Rum GBS is really good. Recommend.

I just got Abraxas for 21.99 in WI. Probably cant all be blamed on the brewery.

Any idea if DC got a new drop of the MT stuff? Or is it the same stuff from late August? I love me some Fortunate Islands, but those cans are over 3 months old now, and aren't tasting nearly as good as they did when they were fresh.

I don't think it's still at whole foods, but if you are still looking, you might call some of the smaller stores in downtown DC that got their Bourbon county today. Rare seems like it's popping up in a lot of places, but not sure if it hits the shelves.

Pretty sure they have (or at least had) Rare at Hop Cask & Barrel. Might be pricey, though.
