My buddy who is a major Michigan beer homer says it's a mess. I've seen quite a bit of poor feedback regarding it. That bums me out too, as I was excited to try it

I am hearing the same from a handful of folks, blueberry syrup bomb seems to be the consensus.

Makes me think of sweetwater coming to ohio, not that it's awesome, but I loved sweetwater as an out of town beer, it hits ohio, and it took away the fun of getting it, might have gotten it once while in ohio.

Figured it be similar to their other fruited stout (forget the name off hand). Strange all their retweets claim it's amazing.

Big Lushious. Although, that one was not barrel aged as far as I know.

Big Lushious was an undrinkable sweet mess to me.

I'm going to trust the hive mind on this one & pass entirely.

Same thing happened to the one we drank last weekend. It was like drinking an acidic champagne with cherries. I bought one of the bottles when it was first released too and although it was wayyyy to sweet, it was fine. I am pretty sure the bottle my brother just got was in a cooler too

Both are tasty. The Yellow Belly is dessert sweet. YB Sundae subdues the sweet a little bit get back to the roots of the base beer as it warms. I would revisit them again if I could find them, but the price tag is steep.

"Just to add some clarification about the beer: Brittish brewery Siren arranges a collaboration project called Rainbow Project. 14 brewers / breweries are paired up and 2014 the theme was different colors. Buxton and Omnipollo was paired and assigned the color yellow. Their take on yellow was making a beer called yellow belly. And calling out cowards who hide behind masks who are afraid to stand behind their opinions."

Just saw a post from Aficionado's in CBus, doesn't look like they use this wrapping anymore. Good backstory, thanks. I had not heard of this before.

I think what they had was the BA version, Yellow Belly Sundae. Can confirm that the regular still uses that wrapping.
