    Onto my next beer...
Hammer of the Beast, an 11.75% imperial stout/barleywine aged in rum barrels!

    Right up my alley...

Started watching Westworld on HBO, and - holy shit - whatta great show - I remember the original Michael Crichton flick starring Yul Brynner, and it was a good chiller...
--> Jurassic Park + Deadwood + Blade Runner...

Always watch out for the man in black...

This modern take has really upped the ante - it's like Jurassic Park and Blade Runner rolled into, western-style - and has a great cast including the stunning Evan Rachel Wood, who I remember as far back as the TV show, Once & Again...

    Hubba-hubba...

    Cheers... \m/

Evening, BA's. It's going to be a good night for college hoops and a few beers. I'm starting with this Rye Ale from D.C. I wasn't expecting much but I'm rather impressed. It has as big a rye taste as I've encountered recently but also has some caramel and a nice bitter, hoppy finish. I'll be onto some better stuff after dinner. Cheers!

Whoa! Holy smoky figgy pudding, batman! I can drink a ton of this, and at 8% it's pretty dangerous how fast I'm taking it down.

Lastly, a larger offering from Carton Brewing...
I love me some Hoppy Black Ales (i.e. Black IPA) and this one does not disappoint. Although its appearance is black, the nose is green...hoppy green. Pine resin with non-descript citrus and tropical fruit really kick the olfactory hues. The substantial malt backbone is there (along with a bit of roasted quality) that makes this a sipper, but considering a Double Black IPA, it is a winner...wish it was more readily available. #properglassware
Oh yeah, in keeping with my postings today (and for all of you "date Nazis"):
...my first Carton in a can and was not disappointed in the least!

For Black Ale/IPA with a higher drinkability that hits all the same hoppy notes...grab some Double IPA#3 from Weyerbacher while it is still available!

Sticking with Stone and I must say this is one currently atypical IPA. Really growing on me as I drink it...[IMG]

I should dial it back. What works for my neighbor, may not work for me. YMMV, Advocates. Just don't ask me to accompany you. :grimacing:
