Bell's Two Hearted. Everybody's looking for the next big IPA but Two Hearted holds up against most of them. Such a well crafted, balanced beer!

Pretty much all New Glarus (esp the fruits). I could also get PseudoSue any time I want. I rarely end up buying them, but I do enjoy them when I do!

Also I was just thinking last night why I don't always have Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbiers in my house. Always on shelves and I love them but for some reason only rarely buy them. Too many damn new beers to try I guess. #firstworldproblems

Although this is a Seasonal, I haven't bought any in years. Had a draft last night, and I really loved it! Gotta get me a case now.

I've thought the same thing many times before but it comes down to two things for me. Price and no bottle dating. Not that they are wildly overpriced, but at between $4-5 per 500 mL bottle it's not something I'm going to keep my fridge consistently stocked with. That being said, I've never gotten a bad bottle before. Same could be said for Ayinger.

I'm definitely a huge boulevard fan as well. Honestly though the smokestack series is really all I buy regularly, the core beers are good not great.

Agree on the current Pabst legacy revivals. I see you are in NJ...where did you find the Brewer's Gold Ale? I've been on the looout for it (having been a favorite of mine in the '70s) but have yet to see it anywhere here in the Garden State.

    cheers!

I found mine at ShopRite in Cherry Hill (https://g.co/kgs/OGGSbc). There is a good beer selection hidden away near the produce area. I was there a couple weeks ago and I believe they still had a couple cases left stacked under some Burton Ale. It was bottled in August if I recall correctly. Really well balanced, subtle herbal/grassy hop flavor...the toasty malt sweetness was on point. If you get some let me know; I'm always curious to see how legacy brands compare to how they were "back in the day".

EDIT: Also please send me a PM if you ever spot some Ballentine IPA that's somewhat fresh....I only had it once and it was like 6 months old or so. Difficult beer to find fresh.

Weihenstephaner Hefe, perfect representation of the style and consistently well made. I see it at almost every decent beer store but pass over it too often.

Zombie Dust as well as any 3 Floyds. Went to a local liquor store a couple days ago. They had Zombie Dust sitting out as they always do. I grabbed a couple bottles and put 1 apiece on a couple coworkers desks the next morning. Haven't bought any for myself in a few years.

I'm drinking an Other Half/Monkish can from today's release as we speak, but Lord knows I'll always have a place in my heart for easily-accessible world class beers.

Central Waters Bourbon Barrel beers (several stouts, barleywine, quad, scotch ale) are widely available in this region, but other parts of the country have little or no distribution and postings seem to indicate demand. Good stuff.

Jai Alai because it's now in GA gas stations and in some places collects dust. Nothing better than 1 week old Jai Alai, nothing worse than 4 month old Jai Alai.

Two Hearted Ale. Man that's delicious.
    Sculpin, anything by Sammy Smith's.

Basically if it isn't "rare" nowadays it gets forgotten about.
