That looks way different than the one I got that said "Instant Winner" in big letters with animated fireworks shooting out of bourbon barrels, beer snifters clinking and a character resembling Rich Uncle Pennybag's holding out his hand for money...Whoops, sorry was typing as I day dreamed. Yep, the one posted is the one I got too.

Well, I entered. I'm new to this, can someone walk me through the proper animal sacrifices to appease the beer gods?

I wonder if the Assassin variants they've referred to will be draft only or another release. But it was info from TG on twitter so...

if you can't afford it, don't come on here whining. I got in the mix, and while I don't expect to get a ticket, I am sure not going to come here bitching about price or demand. I plan to cough up the dough to fly there and get my allotment

I saw that on twitter, and it seemed like it was kept quiet longer than the event at the Iowa Taproom. How did it end up going there?

Thanks for linking the tweets. Was just thinking maybe they refer to KBBS as an Assassin variant assuming its also the same base stout recipe of Norseman's Wrath? I am holding out hope for another release of VB Assassin and/or Coffee Assassin even though I don't have a prayer landing any of them.

KBBS is barrel aged Morning Delight. I that that was common knowledge? Not sure about the base beer for Assassin or if there is any relation to Morning Delight though.

I don't think this is accurate. In the former locked thread, there was a lengthy discussion about base beers for which stouts etc. If I recall correctly, KBBS is not BA MD. I think there was mention either on BA or twitter from Clark stating this also. People were also discussing at length about SR71 being two year aged Assassin or a completely different beer and it all came back to what base is it. Then again,TG didn't pipe in on the SR recipe etc...

Mike and Murph showed up for the party and brought the keg with some bottles of MD and Chainsmoker. I was lucky enough to get a pour of MD and multiple pours of Assassin. Once the initial craziness of people rushing to get Assassin passed the keg ended up lasting for over 45 minutes (2-3 oz pours).

Tony (owner of Champps) throws a great Anniversary party and always has 2-3 great beers on tap. All the money brought in by the Assassin keg ($3060) was donated to Autism Speaks.

So question, how does Assassin compare to Term Oil? I had Term Oil at the taproom and liked it a lot but it was definitely not a beer I'd pay $50 for a bomber. Is Assassin just in another league?

Term Oil is very much like Assassin. If bombers were available for $50, I'm sure they'd sell out even at a 1 bottle limit. If you're unwilling to spend $50, maybe there would be enough for a 2 bottle limit. Many Thanks!
