Great way to start the day! Been holding on to this one with the hopes of sharing, but trying too coordinate a share became very difficult and couldn't wait any longer.

Good morning BA, have a great Saturday! I swapped cats at home last weekend, and the new one is starting to get comfortable in my apartment finally. She did not get along with my 1 year old nephew very well, so I volunteered to take her in. Seems to be adjusting well, but still prefers to hide in places. Hope she finally starts hanging out in my living room at some point. My other cat was really laid back/chill, and this one is a lot more skittish.

    Beer this morning:

Awesome pale ale! Flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, and pine hops; with moderate caramel/toasted biscuit malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Good sized pine/rind bitterness; with a very sticky/resinous mouthfeel with a fair amount of balancing bready creaminess. Increasing resin dryness, but not astringent. This is definitely a punch in the mouth on bitterness; but it is still very drinkable for a pale ale, with nice hop juiciness.

Fantastic as usual. Flavors of big toasted coconut, milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, vanilla, cream, toffee, dark bread, and light coffee. Light balancing roast bitterness against sweetness. Awesome creamy/silky medium body; light touch of sticky/chalky roast character and dryness. I love this stuff. If I could have bought a case, I would have. At least I have Blackrocks Coconut Brown to get my coconut fix in, when I run out of this. It’s quite similar in a lot of ways.

Always world class, just bought my 3rd 6 pack this week. Flavors of grapefruit, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, tangerine, mango, melon, berry, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, and pine hops; with some light honey, wheat, bready malts; and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine/rind/grassy bitterness on the finish. Medium bodied; balanced grainy malt and sticky/resins in the mouthfeel. Crisp/dry finish, and never astringent on bitterness. Awesome bright/dank hop profile, and refreshingly drinkable. Mosaic and Equinox hops are my favorite of all time. I would love a year round version of this, even without fresh hops. This still tastes completely amazing. Will have to kill these off soon, and move on to the High west-ified stout pack I bought.

Revisiting this review after nearly 5 years already. Have not been able to casually find this beer for the same length of time. This was outstanding! Flavors of big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, toffee, molasses, brown sugar, bourbon, toasted oak, vanilla, dark bread, almond, and light charred malts; with a fair amount of raisin, prune, fig, date, and licorice yeast fruitiness. Balanced bittersweet roast/char and bourbon/oak spicy finish. Medium-full bodied; very creamy and fairly slick mouthfeel; with a fair amount of sticky/chalky roast malt. Lightly drying from spicy bourbon/oak and bitter roast. My overall opinion has not really changed from 5 years ago, but my understanding of the beer is a lot finer tuned. This definitely feels like a proper English styled RIS on the yeast presence with the dark fruit/licorice notes; but still has a ton of deep roast and barrel complexity going on. Very smooth and minimal warming for the ABV. I’d buy it again for the price, honestly.

Good Morning, and Happy Saturday BA's! Well this week has been....interesting, to say the least. And one last thing to do before I give a tour of work to the biggest Boy Scout Jamboree imaginable. What could it be, you ask? Why, it's "The Most Wonderful Time of the Beer!" of course! It's time for the Holiday Glass of the Week Awards!

    HGotW:
The doosies this week come courtesy of @WesMantooth for the classic Christmas Vacation Egg Nog Moose glass which I really hope you enjoy while wearing a dickey , to @BeerVikingSailor for this most fantastic Franziskaner weizen glass hand painted by none other than Santa Claus himself (or should I say Sinter Klaas?), and to @LeperJim who can't seem to stay away from that maniac "Hoppy" and his Chalet! At least Naveen was there to keep everything in order :stuck_out_tongue:!

I have, up to now, been able to resist slipping any further down the glassware slope than the one sample set and whatever I got for free. You all are making it harder and harder to resist.
