That should have been shut down. If it makes it to the next day and you want to repeat purchase, fine. Move a handstamper to the line start and police it.

As some have noted about me though, I got my bottles so great release! No issues!

Agreed. Not right that people were going back in line. Need that hand stamp. Carton does it for theirnbig releases like regular coffee. Glad i got mine but if the reason you didnt get yours is people doubling up for trading by getting back in line. super weak!

When you write "apparently" what is the source of information?

I ask for more information because off that one word, "apparently", you've gotten five replies. And when those five replies tell five other guys, who then tell five more guys, the narrative of impropriety will have already spread far enough it doesn't matter whether it actually occurred. It will have, by then, become the "truth" of the Mexican Brunch release.

Cant substantiate but saw people on the facebook post noting they were getting back into line to get more for other people

Yea if people getting back in line is true then that is completely inexcusable. I hope people who see this in the brewery call these people out, report them to the brewer and they get banned from any future releases. WTF is wrong with people? Surprised they weren't hand stamping or anything

The worst are the IG pics where dudes post their 10-12 bottle hauls when the allotment was 4. Sweet pic brah.

Hopefully those, including myself who missed out will somehow be able to trade for a bottle w/o costing an arm and a leg.

    o

not enough ANTEAD to do it this way and too much shit would happen for a release like this. mike said today he does these silent releases bc there isn't enough parking to handle all the people at one time

people doubled/triple/quadrupled up.. it happens, Kane wants the beer gone, just like any brewery...should people do it.. i'm not to judge, but i don't think Kane should be forced to police it, shocked limits weren't 6 per like sunday brunch with similar bottle counts, guess the demand on mexi being first time in bottles was higher, still sold out around the same time as sunday brunch...

Fairly certain the last batch of ANTEAD was a similar bottle count. Is this wrong?

I for one love the silent releases. I've lucked out and been there coincidentally for releases. I also could've lucked out today had I not had to keep driving to get to my parents' on time today. And I've just plain missed it. Happens. People doubling/trip,ing/quadrupling shouldn't happen if they set limits. Otherwise, don't bother setting limits. It encourages this asshole behavior when you let it go on easily and people needlessly get shut out.

I think there were about 1500, 4 bottle sets, for the 2015 ANTEAD release. So more than 6000 bottles.

As such, it remains nebulous. Is it a person being honest or the classic social media snide braggadocio? It's like the Instagram pictures that get everyone angry are typically the collected bottles of friends because they know the image of that amount of bottles will upset people. It's purpose-driven agitation.

Double dipping forever lives in rumor, innuendo, and possibility with all the big hitters (HF, Treehouse, Other Half, Kane, etc.) having it attached to their releases. For once, I'd like to read an eyewitness account of double dipping loaded with details.

Anyone care to share how it's drinking? I couldn't make the release so I really love the play by play, but I'm more interested in the beer itself. And don't say "check out untappd".

Once the line is dead, Kane doesn't stop people from buying more. No one really preventing anyone who got there at noon, putting their bottles in the car and getting back in line again. No hand stamp, no real policing of "double dipping".

Now does that bother me, not really, from a business owner point of view, your going to want to sell the product asap. They will never produce enough beer for them to have supply for a week or more on hot beers like this. Do you really want to deal with a line on Sunday for possible 10 cases? 5 cases? Honestly, if you were able to get to the brewery yesterday you got the beer. I love these silent releases, and I have missed a few of them, where as if I knew Friday, I could have planned to make the trip the next day. I think this is fairest way to do it and Kane is getting better and better at moving the lines faster and faster.

i opened one last night, for me - obviously tastes just like sunday brunch, the chiles were subtle. stronger on the cacao side. im not the best critic so ymmv.

side note: hop lab amarillo saison is awesome.

Sweet creamy hot chocolate pepper and maple and so perfectly subtle. The aroma and taste is big chocolate. Couldn't be happier with how awesome this beer is. Personally like it much more than Sunday brunch.

I do love that they run most of their releases this way, but oh how I wish this was the case. I wasn't able to get down there until later in the afternoon, and when I walked up to the table at 5:30 he told me they just sold out about 10 minutes ago. Not complaining, nobody's fault! But it definitely didn't last until close.

In All honesty I like this more than Sunday Brunch. I may be in the minority on that, but the cocoa really stands out for me. it's very good, glad I was able to grab 4 bottles yesterday.
