Good morning, BAs! Been up since 4, getting packed. Going to be a couple weeks without beer. Since it's still pretty early, and I've got a lot of work ahead of me, I'm starting with some relatively light fare.

I haven't been posting lately, as I've been very busy. I have been drinking, though. Hopefully, I'll be back later with something new for New Beer Sunday.

    Cheers!

This song rocks my face off every time.

Good Morning BA, have a great Sunday!

Still tasting fantastic, got a couple left. Flavors of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon/orange peel, and pine hops; with some light honey/biscuity malt balance; and floral/grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine/grassy bitterness. Medium bodied, balanced grainy creaminess and hop stickiness in the mouthfeel; lightly resinous and never astringent. Increasingly drying finish. Super juicy stuff. Glad I grabbed multiple packs this year.

Awesome as usual! Flavors of nutty roasted coffee; with milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, toffee, molasses, toasted dark bread, and hints of dark fruits. Bittersweet roasted finish; with a great creamy/silky and lightly sticky/chalky balanced mouthfeel. Slightly drying. Highly drinkable with great well balanced coffee/stout complexity. Doesn't hold a candle to Founders, but I still love it for its own reasons. More of balanced coffee stout, with more dark malt sweetness and less roast/char bitter/dryness; while still having a ton of nutty/fruity coffee character. I will continue buying it in the coming months. It is always available on the shelf for a while after Founders is long gone. This is basically my second go-to favorite coffee stout for the price.

Tasting awesome! Almost a year old now. Flavors of caramel, brown sugar, toffee, peat smoke, brown bread, nuttiness, toasted oak, vanilla, maple syrup, raisin, fig, date, juniper berry, leather, and pepper/clove yeast spice. Light-moderate herbal bitterness and spicy yeast finish; with an awesome balance of malt sweetness and yeast/oak character; with no cloying flavors. Lightly drying from oak and spice. Medium-full bodied; great creamy mouthfeel, and a touch slick/syrupy. I still have a couple left from this batch, but I am pretty sure there are still more on the shelf right now too. Would definitely grab again.

Excellent stuff! Not quite as big on the raspberry/fruit notes as the raspberry-only version they released a couple years ago. Flavors of lightly tart raspberry, lemon zest, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, chocolate, cocoa, vanilla, bourbon, toasted oak, and light coffee. Light roast bitterness and bourbon/oak spice on the finish. Medium-full bodied; with a great creamy/silky mouthfeel; minimal chalky/drying roasted character. Slight hint of fruit acidity. Everything feels really well balanced between fruit, malt, and barrel. Great complexity. I'd put this right on par with the base beer overall. Not my favorite variant but I still love it. I bought a ton of the coconut rum barrel recently. I have a couple left of these and the chocolate/coffee left right now. Been loving all of the variants so far. 17% Triple mash should be coming at the turn of the year.

This was one boozy starter! Super sweet and quite viscous, just the way I like my strong Belgians.
