I think it has been mentioned already, but I'd like to see what the brewery itself has to say about it.

It was their event, and the acts of a few do reflect on all.

Am I the only one unimpressed with BUTS? It's a good beer but nothing crazy in my opinion. It is crazy drinkable for 10.2% but to me it just didn't have too much going on.

    Ok, rip me apart now

It sounds like OH's neighbors just aren't pissed enough yet. I know if I had a bunch of out of state assholes camping outside of my house every other Saturday at 2am drinking beers and being obnoxious, I'd call the cops. I specify out of state because I think it's important to note that they only pull this crap because its not their neighborhood.

This has been going on for a long time. The response from other half has been "pick up your trash" & "respect the neighbors". That's all they really need to say. They're not responsible for grown adults behavior. The only thing that could change anything is multiple neighbors calling the police multiple times throughout the day. And that would just result in a bunch of public drinking and littering tickets.

Eh, i don't know. I think assholes are assholes no matter where they're coming from, in state or out. I go to OH from NJ every 2 weeks, i'm respectful of my surroundings, never leave garbage/empty cans, park at mcdonalds, etc. I would do the same thing in my own neigborhood or not. Alot of people just suck....

Just finished my first one, and while I agree it was very good, but didn't "blow me away" I think in a week or two it will really come together.

Drank vanilla last night, and I was not disappointed, it was really good. not as much barrel as I generally like, but that is just nit picking, I was very impressed.

They're not, but that behavior reflects upon their business and the craft beer scene.

I have a 3 year old, that's precisely why I'm not going to give up hours of my Saturday to buy beer that you can buy later without waiting in line.

Even if (especially if?) you need a break from your family I can think of so many better ways to spend your time than to wait in an unnecessary line.

I feel like people are in denial that you don't seem to need to wait in line anymore...

Just had a couple of glasses of it from a growler fill. My impression of it is.. it's hard to be blown away by a 10.2% beer if you've had something like AGE which is quite a tasty beer for the abv. It's a difficult task to make something that should be boozy not taste boozy. However, I'd say the monkish collab does an even better job at this than AGE does. Aroma and taste are incredible without any bitterness or harshness you'd expect from that strong of a beer. Nice work OH!

I'm in the same boat. Leaving the comfort of my bed to go stand/sit on line for anything at 3/4am is never going to happen, especially because I'd have to go home and be a dad for the rest of the day. Honestly, though, I probably never would've done that even if I didn't have a kid because standing in line for hours on end is insane to me, especially when you can find great beer pretty much anywhere now. But whatever you've all heard that before I'm not adding anything new.

The real shame of it all, though, is that it's a self-perpetuating phenomenon. Before the Street Green release last year, you never had people getting in line hours before open. Sure, there were a few long lines before that, like when they first released AGE in cans, but Street Green was the first time (correct me if I'm wrong) that people were there at like 6am or earlier. But after that, it became a thing that if you wanted to get in on any hyped-up release, you had to get there at the crack of dawn or earlier. And release after release, that time just keeps getting earlier and earlier, and it's only getting worse. Same thing's happening at Tree House, Monkish, and Tired Hands, as well as a bunch of other places, I'm sure. Even though there's no need to show up that early, word's gotten out that people do it, so others will as well. I don't know how to stop it other than beer geeks making a collective decision to not be so susceptible to fomo.

This is not sour grapes on my part I am more than fine missing out on most of these releases, it's just always perplexed me that some people have such a high tolerance for waiting in line to buy stuff.

I see no problem with lines and people waiting however long they choose to, the problem lies in the negative aspects that apparently occurred in this line.

Stopped in around 1. Got a case of Forever and 2 bottles of In Absentia. Got to taste Blown and Broccoli (snagged a growler of each) as well as Always Bet on Green and Crazy Talk. All were really great. It was pretty busy but the 2 dudes were churning people out. Props to them for sure. Another great experience at Other Half.

Drinking a Hop Showers can from the release a month or two back. Tasting absolutely delicious. Still don't understand why people hate on this beer. Just such a delightfully balanced IPA that I could drink it every day. Guess I should be happy there isn't much hype around it. More for me.

It's because its not described as a "hazy juice bomb for days". Its my favorite OH beer and I hope the hype never comes. It's better than 95% of the beer they churn out that people wait in line for hours for.

So besides Brocolli, no one found out what else is only for the next release?
