Cellarmaker to start bottling.

Can't wait. Can't count how many times I've had impy C&C. Still can't wait.

 

Sorry for this non bottle release post. Just wanted to say we stopped in CM last night during our 24 hour (overnight) visit to SanFran. I was very impressed with the IPA's on tap. Had all 3 plus the 2 pale ales. Favorite was easily RD. Bringing back two 32oz growler fills of RD and 1 32oz of Mo Citra. I was not impressed with the cost to fill a 32oz of RD > $17! Ouch. I said F it and gave in. The last time I seen any fills for 32oz of IPAs for $18 at Chapman Crafted. That's crazy sh!te. I am goin to agree with @thuey about CM being better than Monks haze IPAs. Trillium and OH, when fresh is better than Monks. But CM is not the best in Cali. CM is very good. Top 5 in Cali for me. I've had some of CM's other styles before and I thought it was good. Overall the visit was spot on. Am going to try and fly back up when they have another IPA bottle release.

 

So even with a six bottle limit of Imperial C&C is this not expected to last long? As usual I travel on weekends and have a visit to Cellarmaker scheduled for this weekend as getting up there on a Tuesday is not so easy. Would you suggest I should have a friend pick up some bottles if I can?

So who in your opinion is? I've had stuff from Trillium and Tired Hands, and for me CM is right there with those folks.

 

Is "Monks" Monkish? Sorry if a dumb question, just never heard of Monks brewing, so I'm guessing you're talking about Monkish.

 

Yup.

 

That RD is right there with Trillium and OH imo. More juice than what I am use to from some of our local brewery....ex: Monks. But that's my opinion. I traded for Trillium cans and flew to Boston for T cans to bring them back fresh. I'm not trading for any IPAs anymore. Rather go to the source.

 

That's quite a carbon footprint just to get fresh IPA.

 

I've had plenty of beer from all of the big boys back east and it is absolutely not worth trading CM for any of them considering the price you'd pay to trade.

 

...and worth every print. Thx for the infos. SightGlass really hit the spot after walking from ChinaTown to City Beer/Cellarmaker. Coffee was spot on.

 

Oh come now, at least when I go to Boston it isn't just to get Trillium beer. I also satisfy my husband's craving for that North End Italian food.

 

Damn. In my head that seems like a really far walk.

Longest line for a release so far.. all the way to the jiu jitsu studio and then some
