    Had a growler of Raider Bob over the weekend in Vegas. 3 of us shared the growler. This batch was very good IMO. I need to fill my growler with RB. Does anybody know if it available for fills right now? My friends growler may have been a special fill only as it wasn't available for fills last weekend. And I wish these guys have a updated tap list somewhere that we are able to see whats on and whats not.

    RB was available for fills this past weekend so it probably still is. They do a decent job posting the updated tap list on instagram. If Hop Chraze is still on when you go I recommend it, no fills though.

    Yup. Saw Mitch (riip) at BTs yesterday and he told me the same thing. That is a good move for Andrew. Congrats.

    Well they've already found a replacement:

    It’s our pleasure to announce that Trevor Walls (currently Head Brewer of Pizza Port San Clemente) will be joining Riip Beer Company and replacing our Head Brewer Andrew Moy, taking over full control of Brewing and Brewery Operations. Trevor will work alongside Andrew through the month of December ensuring that all of our current flagship recipes are preserved. We are also anxiously looking forward to Trevor's Beers and adding a new twist of his own.
    Trevor is one of many talented brewers who's career started in San Diego, CA. His career includes Ballast Point, The Bruery, Pizza Port Bressi Ranch and Head Brewer of Pizza Port San Clemente. Walls also studied Brewing at the Siebel Institute of Technology in Chicago, and the Doemens Academy in Munich, Germany.



    Trevor recently won a Silver Medal at the GABF for his Imperial Coffee Stout "Dusk Til Dawn" and 2 Medals at the San Diego International Beer Festival for "Dusk Til Dawn" and "William Wallace Water."



    It's perfect timing for this transition, as Riip Beer is in the middle of a major expansion that will more than triple our brewing capacity and production. The expansion includes a brand new 10bbl Brewhouse by SS BrewTech, an additional tap room and bar and two outdoor patios on PCH that will allow outside drinking. Trevor played a vital role in Pizza Port's Bressi Ranch build out and expansion and we are thrilled to add his knowledge and expertise to ours.

    Trevor is a re-known brewer in the industry (for you that know him, I am sure you can vouch) he is a fun, personable, down to earth, dope ass dude. I personally got to witness how he engages with his customers at Pizza Port and its hard to believe he's the head brewer and not the restaurant manager. He takes the time to interact with his customers and educate them and he takes the feedback from the customers seriously, constantly tweaking his recipes until they're perfect. Trevor says, “Here’s my life. I drink beer, I think about beer. I fish a little. Then I rinse and repeat.”

    Awesome! Haven't had hop chraze yet. How does it stack up against other ipas of that style being made around here lately?

    I love it. Surpasses most Modern Times, and almost up there with Monkish, in my opinion.

    After hearing the good things about this beer here I stopped in on my way home tonight and filled a growler. This is legit, a great take on the style but without abandoning the soul of the west coast style, juicy as hell with great body.

    I did not, I just filled one growler and hit PCH home. I will say that hop combo sounds amazing. Henry has used it on his IPAs with great success.

    Tried Cloud Chowder last nice. It's a full blown NE IPA. Amazing. Got myself a growler.

    Just got back from RiiP. Tried the CC. I thought it was okay. Better than Hop Craze. Did not fill my growler. But got the last growler of RB. I think they are still dialing in their recipes for the dankish beers. It's not bad. But just not what I was expecting.
