Any chance of me finding KDS on the shelves when I visit this weekend? Anything else I should be looking for? Thanks!

It's definitely on some shelves, though you may have to head off the beaten path a bit (probably suburbs). Deschutes/HOTD Collage 2 dropped recently. A bunch of new 3Mags stuff lately.

Pretty sure I still saw variant bottles available at the UBG when I as in late last week, though it may have been basics (I wasn't really paying that close of attention, but they were in the same location as the variants had been), and they may be gone by now. At the very least they were still on tap at that point.

Whole Foods RSQ still has regular KDS.

When last I was in the Bham Food Coop (last Wed, IIRC) still plenty of KDS and all variants on the shelf. Come get 'em, make room for Abyss.

I'll be in Seattle (East Lake) most of next week for Thanksgiving, and I'm curious how the B-Bomb release will work. I see bottles will go on sale at 11:00. Will this include variants? Also, will there be a mad dash to line up before open, or will bottles be available throughout the day? Any idea how family friendly will the brewery be during the infusion releases at 5:00?

Finally, I'd love to hit Holy Mountain. Is there anything special happening there, or will they be business as usual next week?

Thanks for any suggestions or advice. The folks I'll be with are not as in tune to the beer scene. I'll have to forecast any and all of my intentions before hand otherwise I'll be spending my time at Pike Place Market for the eighth time in as many years.

By the way, great and helpful thread.

No variants on Black Friday. Coffee Cinnamon normally comes out in December.

There might be a line of people waiting, but there will be a ton of bottles that will last at least a few weeks at the brewery and you'll see them all over town. Fremont is always family friendly. They might be crowded at 5pm but your kids are always welcome.

No clue about holiday hours, but we could ask them! @HolyMtn ?

Unless you're stopping in for a growler fill or to buy a bottle, Holy Mountain is also not kid friendly for on site drinking, FYI.

If you're going to be at the Market, make sure you go to Old Stove (kid friendly) and Cloudburst (not kid friendly).

I am going to be in town the Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday before Thanksgiving. If you only had three days to tackle the list, what are your must visit places?

all of the universally-recommended breweries, chucks (either location), pine box, and brouwers.

you can also add a quick trip south to georgetown (free tastings) and seapine, if you're thirsty for more.

The list begins with a "must hit" list of breweries. I'd start there.

Tried to check the place out. Ignore what their Facebook page says about opening at 10. They don't open until noon.

Go to Cloud Burst immediately and have their Bone Clouds-N-Harmony. Top 10 beers I've had this year. Hazy, crazy hop bomb.

Chiming in a bit late in the thread, but I'd certainly add Flying Bike Cooperative Brewery to the list of recommended Seattle breweries. Several brews on their rotating taplist were originally developed by home brewers from the community and then voted into the brewery during blind tasting competitions. Cool concept, and the beers are exceptional. I like the Storm Cycle CDA, Zest-a-Peel Grapefruit IPA, and Lavender Haze IPA (among others).

Had some great WA beers tonight watching the Sounders win the MLS Cup. PostDoc Boysenberry Gose, 3Mags (st)out and Proud, and Flying Bike Chinookerd.

It's the kickball team. And, one would hope they would wear cups, wouldn't one?

So, because they won, does that mean they each got an extra orange slice after the game?

And for the citrus-intolerant, they get an extra piece of tofu jerky.
