I always pour cheap beer into proper glassware for rating / review purposes. AAL's have aroma characteristics that you miss when you drink them out of a can or bottle.

    Welcome!

If you look under the Beer heading you will find a Section called Beer 101. Within that section is an article about Glassware for Beer, which should tell you all you need to know.

I've done this. And the next time I'm on Virginia Beach at sunset with a DC Brau The Public, I will do it again.

Drank some St. Arnold and NOLA Brewing brews out of a hotel room paper cup in various New Orleans Marriotts...

In college, we used to fill those big plastic fast food cups with beer so we could walk around getting drunk with no one noticing. It was cheap beer though.

I also once drank pinot noir out of a mountain dew can behind the science center.

Not that embarrassing but a thermos works great hiking. Only thing is that it becomes really obvious you're not drinking coffee when you open the lid and all the CO2 comes rushing out.

Just last night I had a 2015 BCBS in a clear plastic cup. I went to a bonfire and didn't want to risk breaking any glassware, so plastic cup it was! On a side note, BCBS pairs excellently with smores...

Glassware is a preference not a requirement . I use glassware but im not a glass ****. I'm more concerned about the beer not the glass.

ANY glass or cup that doesn't leak is perfectly fine for ANY good beer.

How can people be so misinformed. Parabola should be served in a blue solo cup not a red one!

I travel a lot, so I often have to drink my craft beers out of a foam coffee cup. Not something ideal, but it gets the job done!

Once upon a time, I drank Nelson out of a pitcher at Alpine. Let me tell you, drinking a beer like that out of a pitcher is an amazing experience.

Also, I've had PBR in a teku, it's crazy how much sensory information you pull. It's like having a beer for the first time.

Last summer, I had a 1st time beer in a 9oz Dixie cup. You know, the waxed cup.. with the high humidity. Never again. I'll drink from the bottle or can the next time. I've got my scruples!

Yeah I did the red solo cup thing too - with a Pliny the Elder. I enjoyed the first half in a nice glass at home, but then my wife wanted to take our one year old on a walk around the neighborhood. Rather than risk the glass being broken on the sidewalk, and not wanting to wait a half hour to finish my Pliny, I solo cupped it. I gotta admit, it felt weird to be drinking something so good out of beer pong equipment.

Don't know if this counts-Went to a grand opening of a local brewery-they were SLAMMED...believe it it or not they were serving their beers in tulip glasses which quickly ran out so they were hustling to collect used glasses, get them washed, and back out again. When I finally got my beer after a 10 minute line my glass was HOT...I mean almost too hot to hold. Ever drink a cold beer in a hot glass? Blah....

High School reunion two weeks ago. Nothing wrong with drinking out of solo cups out in the parking lot because there's no good beer on tap inside.

I love glassware threads. They bring out the best in BA's!
