I work Saturday so I may not be there too long on Friday, but I gotta try to find you and say hello and share a beer with ya! Plan is to drive there either Thursday evening to get to the area around midnight or super early Friday morning to get to Decorah around 11-11:30 am. Still working on the plans.

 

So I got a golden ticket, but my brother is coming down with me as well. We are both interested in a bottle share and have some quality choices in our cellar.
I feel like quite the noob, but can anyone explain how the bottle share goes down, how many beers should we each bring, etc

 

Is KBBS/Assassin usually available at the brewery or anywhere nearby during the release day?

 

Bring limited released beers and you'll be ok. Don't bring a jug of your home brew. I literally seen people asked to leave when they showed up with their home made IPAs.

Bring your best. The cnc share is insane. We brought a couple cases worth of treehouse and trillium for md day abd plan on doing the same again. Also will bring a few big stouts to open. Dont expect anything but you will get everything you could imagine. Make sure to sign up on the google doc posted on page one

 

So the Country Inn, as well as the Quality Inn, are sold out.... where else does everyone recommend trying to stay? I'm (hopefully) making the trip from PA

Anyone else wondering what the SECOND form of acceptable ID(s) will be? Saw a tweet from Clark saying "another form your bank would accept".

I actually emailed them because I don't have a passport and didn't want to be making a tearful 3 hour drive home without a boxset. They replied "Bring anything that the bank would accept as a second form of ID…pay stub, credit card statement, etc."

 

If I decided to come to the share, are bottles like non-BA Abraxas and FW Parabola up to snuff? I think that's about all I'd have at the time.

I plan on bringing my expired passport, pay stubs, credit card statements, birth certificate, social security card and just about anything else I can find to be sure I don't have a problem.

Will be heading down Friday early and staying at Country Inn as well....Quick Q...does Iowa have Uber? Everything's 4-6 minutes away and not planning on driving!

 

Places in Iowa have Uber, Decorah is not one of those places. Very small.

 

Bring whatever you have and it will be acceptable. F anyone that judges whether or not you have a big enough whale. It was super relaxed at the MD share and I expect the same. Just be ready to chat with strangers and you should be able to share with everyone then. I love Parabola, so you are always welcome at my table :-)
