Good evening BA, hope everyone had a good Tuesday. Another early start to the work day with me having 7AM meetings on Tues/Thurs now going forward. Made it on time with no problems. I get to leave a little earlier than normal though, so it all works out. I don't have any days where meetings stretch past an 8-9 hour span, so it's all good.

    Daily Reviews:

Amazing IPA! Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, pineapple, peach, grapefruit, passion fruit, mango, lemon, orange zest, light pepper, and pine hops; with moderate biscuit, light honeyed malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine/citrus peel/spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium bodied; balanced sticky/resinous hops and grainy/bready malt creaminess in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing resin dryness, zero hop astringency. Really fantastic balance for an IPA, just the right amount of malt body/sweetness. Not over aggressively bitter. Very bright/juicy and pretty dank on hop complexity. Extremely drinkable. Fantastic beer. Mosaic hops this year, and oh so obvious. 4.32

Australian Saison with coffee, wattle seeds, and Tasmanian pepper. This was excellent! Fantastic head retention, and thick lasting lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big lemon, pear, apple, peach, white grape, peppercorn, coriander, and clove; with moderate wheat/biscuity malt balance; with lighter notes of coffee, chocolate, vanilla, and nutty flavors. Standard earthiness of herbal spice and yeasty notes. Good sized peppery/spicy yeast finish with some earthy hop bitterness; subtle tartness and tangy wheat. Medium body and very high carbonation; very crisp/dry, with balanced grainy wheat creaminess and hop/spice stickiness in the mouthfeel. Pretty refreshing, a bit prickly/foamy/rough until some of the carbonation dissipated a bit. No complaints at all really. Really nice standard Saison yeast profile, with nice spice balance and malt backbone. The Wattle/Coffee was really lacking, but it added some nice underlying chocolate/coffee/nutty notes. Still ultimately tastes like a true saison. 4.03

This was awesome! Aromas and flavors of big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, toasted dark bread, and light smoked/charred malt; with underlying notes of sour cherry, berries, raisin, plum, fig, apple, lemon, red grape, vanilla, oak, pepper, and light hay/funky notes. Touch of red wine vinegar. Bittersweet roast/char balanced finish; with subtle acidity and peppery/tannic spice. Medium-plus bodied; nice bready creaminess in the mouthfeel, with a fair amount of sticky/chalky roast notes. Lightly increasingly roast/charred drying finish. Very drinkable. Great stout style complexity with complimenting wild ale flavors in the background. I was originally expecting something like Madrugada Obscura for a wild stout. After I read this was a blend of 70/30 stout/sour; it made more sense and I was still a really big fan. Aromas showcased more of a sour/funky vibe than the flavors overall. 4.1

Looked much more youthful than that, but none of that insulates you from life to be sure...

Yeah, I didn't realize he was that old. I've seen him recently in some stuff on the Hallmark Channel. (when my wife makes me watch it...)

Horribly dissapointing shopping trip for presents. On the plus side, good beer & food. Hammer of the Beast, Laguntas High Westyfied & SN Celebration on draft ( superior by miles to the last 5 years of bottled versions ).

Stone Stygian Descent Black IPA ( Barrel aged )

Might as well make it a movie night but for now there is a Cubs World Series special on that's crying out to be watched.

Yeah. Not gonna lie...just not feeling this one. Still sipping the same glass since I poured it. A bit thin and was hoping for more of the stout-ness. Meh.

Not nearly as hoppy as I expected. Not a bad lager though. A lot of crisp, distinct grains
