What beer are you drinking now? #1516

Since I got two more four packs of this yesterday (finally found some at Target, of all places), time to visit the baby.

Been on a Band of Horses kick recently.

 

H is for hump day - Hinterland Brewery's "Stovepipe", - Bourbon Barrel Imperial Coffee Stout:



Coffee beans roasting and creme fraiche aroma. Strong dark roast coffee with cream flavor. Silky texture with dry, barrel finish. No hint of the 9.4%. A delightful, tasty coffee stout I had not had before - thank you @Number1Framer !

Cheers morning coffee imbibers, and have a great day. I'll be going through a box of comic books I pulled from the warehouse yesterday, that I used to collect in the 80s in college...

Continuing my search for a FBS replacement with Siren: Extra Shot Broken Dream
It's Siren's regular Breakfast Stout brewed with double the coffee.

Apparently Founders have changed UK distributors of their Breakfast Stout and the price the new supplier wants for it is so close to the ceiling my local shops can re-sell it for it's just not worth stocking.

 

Talk about your broken dreams…

Feeling a bit in the spirit this morning while doing the laundry and watching the last half hour of City of God (not very Christmasy but one of the greatest films ever)

mostly because Lyn Bremer of WXRT just said this was one of his favorite Christmas songs of all time. Glad he recommended it.

A favorite of mine from Greenbush that always delivers while I feed the birds on this balmy 13 degree late morning. It appears another big snow event is taking aim for the weekend. The near record warmth of November is already a distant memory. On the bright side, I have plenty of high octane stouts to ease the pain!
