they might be trolling who knows, it's the internet and i am just here to spread fake news. or since this is a tired hands milkshake release it could be true and people are lining up over 6 hours in advance in 20 degree weather.

I guess the "no chairs before noon" was only in affect for the collaboration releases.

so there is an hour and a half line to wait to put down chairs at noon to then wait inside for five more hours to then go back outside and wait another hour to finally buy 2 four packs of one beer for 22 bucks a pop that if all the rumors are true they are charging more for because they had to dump another batch. man i am usually a stay positive kinda guy and hey man beer is beer and all that, take the high road, wow this is crazy but hey it is what it is but wow i am kinda just yeah

you forgot to add that people are doing all this just to trade the beer they just purchased for other beer.

I wish they had more of this on tap. I am going to Tired Hands tomorrow and would be more than happy just having a couple of milkshake pours

Cans are $20 a four pack and no lining up before 12 noon. This is from the corrected Instagram post. Time to give the brewery some credit.

At 20 bucks a 4-pack maybe the brewery will offer me credit during this holiday season!?!:astonished:

    Cheers!

What's interesting too is that the $15 for a 4 pack of Helles might be considered "cheap" to some compared to prices like this. Is their Helles $5 less per 4 pack to make?

    Strange & Beautiful isn't cheap.

edit: although when you break it down per can and for 16oz it's $5. I assume that's much cheaper than a 16oz pour inside the building.

If you factor in the energy costs to lager that beer for x weeks I would suspect the answer is no.

I am pretty sure you know the answer here: they are pricing this beer at $15 per 4-pack because that is what their customers are willing to pay.

FWIW I think the Tired Hands Helles is of high quality. If I want to drink a high quality canned Helles beer I will personally buy a 6-pack of Sly Fox Helles Golden Lager for about 8 bucks at my local beer stores. A beer that is readily available on the shelf (and fresh) and every bit as good (if not better) than the Tired Hands Helles.

To each their own I suppose.

    Cheers!

The Helles probably costs them more to make when you factor in tank space because it needs to lager for a few weeks at least. They probably just sell it at a much lower profit margain (although I would bet its still very profitable at that price) because the demand is so much lower.

Have a table by the bar, about 100-150 chairs in line, maybe 5 actual people. This is the way to do it for sure.

175 cases x 3 allotments per case = 525 allotments. Not bad, but to stand in line in this cold for 2 four packs? Um, yeah.

Since I was not able to make the shake release today I decided to pull a double mango out of the fridge. It looks and tastes glorious

But because Sly Fox has brewed that beer for 10+ years it's therefore not desirable for most beer geeks.

Gonna open a blackberry milkshake in a few and see if I can keep the floaties in the can. Been settling in my fridge for months. . . Anybody else have one recently? Thoughts?

    EDIT:
Sorry for the lighting. Color is not unlike a good rose wine. As my girlfriend does not like me calling it - "flesh colored". No floaties. Waiting for it to warm a bit more before I taste.

@kthoag I've had a pretty old Blackberry Milkshake and it looked just like that. My impressions were that it was sweet and might have tasted better with the floaties. Interested to hear your thoughts on the Blackberry.

Did anyone line up today? Sounds like it was quite low-key for a milkshake release.
