I polished off my 2012 BA Alpha Klaus last month, it wasn't worth the $25 I paid then....if you buy it don't sit on it.

Barrel aged or non-barrel aged, crack the skye is delicious... and it's not $40 a bottle!

Yeah BA Behemoth was $40 last January. Rough price point to say the least

I am actually a little confused still about the barrel aged part. If you look at Dark Matter's website, the Crack the Skye coffee is not barrel aged. Did they do a different run of the coffee for this?

The Dark Matter coffee used is one of their barrel aged blends. The beer is not barrel aged.

If you look on Dark Matter's website, they say that the coffee is not barrel aged. It is semi-washed and washed for each bean. So, when is this thing aged in a barrel? Does washed and semi-washed refer to some type of barrel treatment?

Interesting, and if you filter by Barrel Aged coffees, this one does not show up.

So maybe this beer is actually barrel aged, but FFF just set a reasonable price and limit?

I'll won't be able to open one until Christmas. But I am curious to try it.

Maybe it was just in oak.

    E-mailed FFF. Got this response.

"The coffee is Dark Matter's special behemoth coffee, the beer is a blend of base stout and barrel aged beer. The finished product has all three together."
