Anyone hear anything about them making altar again this year? That is one of my favorite holiday beers from them.

They just posted on IG that they now have on tap Hail Santa? IPA with caramel and vienna malts with simcoe and cascade. Sounds yummy.

I wonder if they're going to do the same thing they did Friday last week, and announce the release day of. Would be awfully funny if they announced it shortly after 12noon tomorrow.

kind of hope they keep up the day of official announcement.. it won't reduce crowds much especially if they keep the releases on a wednesday because everybody will just know, "oh hey it's wednesday, Tired Hands release" but without information on the specific beers it may lessen the log jam a little bit... Seems they may be trying to reduce the crazy factor a small bit but not a lot

I can't imagine the lack of a release has anything to do with "lessening the craziness" given that they've already noted that it'll likely be Mikkeller and Monkish collabs (and maybe the donut one?).

I think silent releases would work great as far as reducing crowds and that chair nonsense. You would get a few that line-up no matter what on a Wed/Thurs/Fri, and then you would get a steady trickle as word gets out. More locals would get the beer which would be a good thing. I'm not sure what it would take from TH perspective. You would need someone there to sell beer from noon to whenever... and I'm not sure if they can get enough in cans to start releasing at noon or a place to store it if they can the day before.

For whatever it's worth, when I was at the Ferm this past Friday, two cops came in and I could see they asked to speak to a manager. They walked outside and you could clearly see they were pointing and looking in the direction of the chair line...

Looks like just alien church in cans tomorrow.
Friday for the rest I guess, which is unfortunate for me

I saw this too and figured it was something like that.

Alien Church and bottles of Whatever, Nevermind. Had that on tap on Friday, solid.

But fortunate for anyone who is looking to try one of Tired Hands flagship IPAs without waiting in line for hours.

True. It will make for possibly a very insane Friday release though with a lot of people having off for the holiday

I would take "whatever nevermind" over anything I have gotten in cans since I've started getting cans...at least from what I remember of it on draft.

I actually thought last year's bottles were much better than the draft.

That's good, or maybe it is since that might translate to this year as well because I had it on Friday and it was good but not great.
We really demand everything be great don't we.

IMO at the prices that Tired Hands is charging having a customer expectation of the beer being great is reasonable.

When I had to drain pour cans of Hop Hands because of elevated amounts of diacetyl, that was a BIG disappointment.:slight_frown:

    Cheers!

This is probs a beer you can show up at 530-6 for wait half an hour (or maybe not at all) and be good. I Don't get it.
