Extreme Beer Fest: Boston 2017 (Survival Thread)

Hopefully you'll get a chance to showcase your beers next year! An addition like yours would definitely fuel my interest in attending.

 

Just looking at the FAQ's and it says no pretzel necklaces. We brought them last year (after not knowing what they were our first time around). Are they not allowed this year?

Hey Todd,
How about opening the adjacent room that was open for a couple of years and then closed last year. There were tables and chairs and it was cool to hang with friends and rest the feet.

Sound good and makes complete sense. I remember now that it was the first year at the new place when that room was open. There was a snack bar with sodas and dogs. Last couple years only the volunteers were hiding back there.

 

Any tips for a first time attendee to session 1?

 

Don't be afraid to pour something out if you don't like it, all these high abv samples add up quick.

Grab a beer from a stand with no line to have while you wait in a longer line.

 

Kill two birds with one stone and stay hydrated while keeping your glass clean by filling it up with water and drinking the water between samples.

I don't have the worlds highest tolerance but time has never been an issue at EBF so don't feel obligated to rush.

 

I see the beer list is complete minus two breweries. Are they no longer attending (Funky Buddha and Common Roots) or are they just late in getting their beer list in.
