Didn't see a thread or any posts on here for this yet. Has it made it to stores yet? Anyone tried it? @levifunk?

I'm looking forward to trying some non sours Levi had a hand in making. He may not be a brewer, per se, but he sure knows his way around recipes and premium ingredients not to mention barrel aging.

I am still at the very beginning of my journey into brewing, but if I ever end up in a position even resembling where Levi is at I think I'd be pretty content.

It is released on Friday this week. Select bars around Madison will have it tapped and bottles release at many shops around town. Looking forward to my Friday.

Let me dust off this old account...

    Hey all.

I wanted to answer a couple questions I've received in a public format.

    "What is the ABV/hop varietal/grain bill/etc?"
Part of the vision and naming behind Untitled Art is that we are presenting the beer without some kitschy name or exhaustive description. I want to present the beer style and let people formulate their own opinion. The type of beer drinker who will buy this should understand what the beer is just by the style name "Juicy IPA".

Analogous to the art world, I don't want to be presenting a piece of art that requires a description for the viewer to understand the message of the artwork. Untitled Art speaks for itself. I could tell you the ABV/hops/grain/etc, but would that information skew your perception of the beer?

    Pricepoint
Juicy IPA is a premium beer. It's the type of beer that "should" have been packaged in a bomber. However, I've never liked the bomber format for IPAs. I would much prefer these premium IPAs in a 12oz bottle, so that's what we're doing. Hopefully others follow suit.

If you want to compare Juicy IPA pricing to other beers, compare it to the bomber pricing. I think we chose a better package format for a lower price point to consumers.

    Where/when will we see it
@onefiveseven did a great job posting that above. Follow the FB and IG account for updates. We chose to self-distribute. I like the control, but keep in mind we haven't done this before. Delivery is happening today and tomorrow. The idea is that everyone who ordered it early enough should have it by tomorrow night.

The places who signed on with us deserve a high five. They pre-ordered the beer having never tried it. Obviously I'm biased, but to me this is a pretty good indicator of the quality of programs they run! These are the places, going forward, that will continue receiving Untitled Art.

Just cracked a Juicy IPA. It's okay but it isn't a NE juice bomb. I'll let you guys try it for yourselves.

Hell yeah I wish more brewery's weren't so afraid of sticker shock for beer if more people just did some simple math they would understand.

Just had one and enjoyed it. I've had pales from Hinterland and Door County on draft that are comparable. Not quite the same as Trillium and Treehouse IPAs though.

Totally agree. Which hinterland and door county beers? I will need to seek those out

It reminded me of watered down OJ and I saw another compare it to a session NE IPA. It's not bad by any means but it's not anything like TH or the ddh Sue that was just released.

    I had the wrong brewery.

It will be interesting to see how each beer evolves and develops from Utitled Art. We the drinkers shall be rewarded I think.

I'm flattered people expected Trillium on our first shot. We'll continue adjusting the recipe and getting close, but the goal isn't so much to replace Trillium but to offer an example of the style in the Midwest.

Going from pilot batch to big system, I knew we'd have to make some changes. Color was an obvious one I noticed right away. On the pilot system that beer was a lot darker.

    Cheers!

Definitely want you to have your own beer to style of the NE IPA. I always found it interesting that Iowa had a couple of breweries that made this style. Seemed that WI had more than a few breweries that could give it a shot, but it never really happened until the end of 2016.

You can bet that all IPA lovers in this state will want to get a taste of your future brews. Bravo!
