I think you are 100% correct, Don't know why I thought they used the Barrels to make the box. Maybe I heard something on the interweb that wasn't true.

 

What's the case with older Prop and VR dropping at Binnys and other stores? I keep hearing about it. Any true info out there?

 

In the past Goose has shipped vintages of the sour sisters. I wonder if we're finally starting to see it with the BCBS line.

 

Due to a promise of confidentiality all I can say is yes, it is true. I was offered a VR the other day, which just came in. As to why how or who else got it, I can only speculate. Made my day though!

Rare and Regal were the most "rare" varients last year.....they were the only ones that escaped the infection!

 

I get emails from Binnys asking me to review all the Apex Predator and Lizard King I buy.

But then the same email tells me that I did not talk to the beer employee enough, and I am not eligible for special secret offerings.

 

I called a ton of places and they didnt budge about vanilla rye and any other variants other than rare.

I wish I had a relationship like you do. Lol

I got the same info. When I was out hunting for Black Note, a Binny's employee said there were some "surprises" coming with the Rare. He specifically mentioned VR and vintage Prop, but wasn't sure if/when they were getting any (or maybe that was his way of telling me I'm not on the list).

 

They could've also gotten snubbed. My guy told me they were supposed to get Black Note last week - they were notified that it was coming, and it was on the schedule, but it never came...

 

This is one of the most interesting parts of craft beer and beer deliveries. Even when ordered by the store it can't be guaranteed

So I take it there is still regular BCBS around in Chicago. Looks like I'll be flying out there from Texas to see Hamilton next month. Binney's and Lakeview Liquors good places to hit up?

South Loop you might get lucky. Telling people they didnt get any (over the phone) but confirmed someone grabbed one there a little bit ago. Did hear of quite a few stores selling today (like Schaumburg)
