Can't even get into the tasting room just to drink...people are stressing about standing in line for a teku and then still get cans. This is amazing.

Absolute savages man. I drove by, tried to find parking around the corner and said screw it and left. I think the plan for a growler, is to come down later after the can line is gone

That's what it feels like. Not that I'm a bastion of civilized behavior (far from it), but the people rambling about standing in line for a teku, then another line for cans, and how stressful it all is...c'mon. Stop worrying about trading for Trillium and just ram down a couple pints of beer because you actually want to drink it.

What's amazing is how folks create justifications for these lines.

I feel like a piece of shit for even standing in line but I Ubered down from Playa del Rey, already tried what I wanted at Smog City, and just want to enjoy some pints here. If they'd announced the release earlier, I would've just gone to El Segundo today.

Why couldn't they just say the beer is ready for sale right now? What's the point of waiting til 6pm

Oof. Let's not go there. The topic can be discussed in a rational manner without any hurt butts.

Point 1: Product is still being canned.
Point 2: Brewer is on record saying that the canned beers don't hit their stride for several days.
Conclusion: Don't hold it to release tomorrow, do it now! Now god damnit, now!

    Logic ftw!

@ Xui. I feel for you man. After believing there would be no can release today I decided to head over to Monkish to fill up a couple growlers with Shaneal O'quille. Well they decided to release Gift of Death for limited growler fills and sell their new Teku glasses. This is the fucking line at 3:45pm for ONE 750mil growler of GOD and or 2 Teku glasses, right before they opened they went online to alert the beer world of the 6pm can release. This line eventually wrapped around the back building. Since I was there I stayed and got fills in about 45 minutes, by that time the can line was 200 people deep. Don't get me wrong, I really like Henry and his beers but the culture at these is beginning to get really sketchy, some pretty aggressive thugs for a lack of a better term who cut in lines, and drag along any family or friend to mule. These "bro's" mostly sell these on line trying to get as much as 25$ per can to pay their bills and buy their crack cocaine or buy a bigger flat billed Doyer cap. It looks like the old days of dropping in on my way home from work on a weekday and wait maybe 5 minutes for fills are a thing of the past. Come on Henry, clean this shit up.

    Cheers,

In fairness to these "thugs," (can you elaborate on what you mean by that?) line-cutting and douchebaggery has been taking place for a long time.

@ Finnish Fox, I know your a Monkish regular like me and we probably have ran into each other before. The incident took place once word got out about the can release, while I was in the growler fill line, some line cutting and repositioning guys back into the growler line from a car drop off, four guys took the place of two who went to get in the can line, a few people questioned what the hell they were doing, it got hot and eventually like it always does seemed to get ignored.

    Cheers

Ah gotcha - I headed over after the cans were announced so that makes sense that I missed it. I did get some cans but bailed on the growler line. It was nut pretty damn long.
