The two that stand out are Trinity's Menacing Kumquat and Kent Falls Dekkera farmhouse ale.

Others fall more in the 'new to me but not new' category.

The only beer I had on the list was Summit 30th Anniversary Keller Pils. I thought that beer was fantastic. I really, really liked the Pilsner Malt backbone of the Weyermann Barke Pilsner Malt they used to brew that beer.

I recognize that this beer was produced as a one-off to celebrate their 30th Anniversary but I really hope that they make this beer again exactly the same way. If they would introduce this beer as a new year round product, that would be awesome.

    Cheers to Summit Brewing!!!!!

You're right, that Weihenstephaner was new last spring I think. Good one!

Callypigian was amazing. Can't believe there was no hype surrounding this beer.

Really wish more of the beers on that list easier to obtain. I don't think I could trade my whole cellar for a FVM.

Summit Dark Infusion Coffee Milk Stout. This is presumably a one-off, but hope they decide to bring it back at some point. I liked this as well as FBS. Get some while it is still available, if you can.

Hasn't that been around for a while, or am I confusing it with something similar. I seem to remember that it was in rum barrels.

It is part of Avery's barrel series, was like number 31 or 32 or something. AFAIK it was the first time they ever brewed it, and hopefully not the last. It was aged in bourbon barrels.

Cool. I don't know how the hell I got it confused with the other beer, then. Crazy-ass names these days :flushed::slight_smile:.

Ha, well I'm the a-hole that added the first 4-5. I get where you're coming from, perhaps if it were best of shelfies, underrated beers, or rotating offerings that would work. When I think what were the best beers of the year though, I would have to include the crazier stuff otherwise IMO it's not a real "best of."
