Best Brewery:

Too many good ones. Hats off to the breweries that aren't selling out or that at least aren't selling their souls. Could just be me, but Ommegang quality seems to be dropping

Best NEW Brewery:

Prison City Brewing. It's not just because I want to support the local guys - they're cranking out some killer stuff there, and for being around for like two years, they've made quite a name for themselves and generate a lot of hype

Really promising and interesting looking sours from Weaver Hollow too, though I have yet to get out there. Check them out

The best beer that I had in 2016 was BA TenFidy.

This beer was new to me this year and I could only get my hands on one can.

 

Doubleganger by Tree House-from cracking the can, to the last slip-it was an unbelievably awesome hops experience. I pray they make more of it it in 2017

 

Best would be stuff like Bells moving into our local market. High points were reconnecting with old favorites likes Duvel.

 

My favorite beer of 2016 is Bolero Snort Bullazed. The runner up is Stillwater Extra Dry.

Your Best Brewery of 2016?

Central Waters. Now that I've had all of their distributed BA series, and non-BA stouts, I can say they are my favorite brewery. Simply cannot beat the quality for the $. I have yet to visit the brewery, but may work it into a Door County or Lambeau trip.

- All things Tree House. Hops, Stouts, and I love there other occasional offerings as well. Always consistently delicious. Can't wait for the new brewery!

What was your overall opinion on the BBA Monsters Park? There's a bottle at my local place but it's so expensive and with the fairly average reviews I didn't pull the trigger. But you've listed other beers I like...

Best new brewery for me:
Odd13 in Colorado ... my cousin has been sending me most of their hoppy line up. No weak links.

Brewery I purchased the most from:
Half Acre in Chicago. Cans/bombers/growlers have all been staples in my beer fridge. Frequent taproom visits as well.
