Good morning BA, have a great Tuesday! I am having an enjoyable holiday week off so far. I got Left 4 Dead 2 installed on my new computer last night, so I will probably be playing a good amount of that today. Going to reinstall Team Fortress 2 as well. Found out the Mythbusters marathon is running all week again this year, so I have been watching constantly since yesterday. I've already seen most of the episodes, but they are always worth watching again.

Incredible American stout as always. Flavors of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, molasses, toasted dark bread, and smoke/charred malt; with moderate herbal, pine, spicy hops; and some mild raisin, plum, licorice yeast fruitiness. Moderate pine and roast/charred bitter finish. Creamy, silky, and fairly sticky/chalky balanced medium-full body mouthfeel. Some nice increasing dryness from hops and roast/char character. One of my top classic favorites in the style along with Kalamazoo stout.

Still working through my gift 6-pack. Delicious stuff. Flavors of peach, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, papaya, tangerine, citrus peel, light pepper, and pine hops; with moderate honey, lightly toasted bread malt sweetness; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine/rind/spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium-plus bodied; balanced grainy malt creaminess and sticky/resinous hops in the mouthfeel. Increasingly drying and resinous; touch of hop astringency. Very drinkable, lightly warming ABV. My sister knows nothing about beer, but she knows I like IPAs. This was a great random choice off the shelf, I was a big fan of it already. Great topical hop vibrancy and malt balance; while still remaining nicely drying an not too sweet.

2014 vintage. Tasting insane as expected, very smooth and incredibly well balanced right now. Flavors of big caramel, toffee, brown sugar, molasses, vanilla, toasted oak, bourbon, coconut, and light chocolate; moderate raisin, prune, fig, and date dark fruits; with lighter notes of leather/tobacco and herbal/woody hops. Light-moderate herbal hop bitterness and bourbon/oak spiciness on the finish. Fairly full bodied with a great creamy/silky mouthfeel; light sticky/chalky roast and a bit of increasing tannic bourbon/oak dryness. Definitely one of my top favorite cellar beers to buy every year, as with most of Founders stuff. I stocked up on a lot this year. One of the best I've ever had in the style. I haven't had a Dirty Bastard in a few years, actually. I should revisit that review soon I think.

Amazing batch this year, as usual. Flavors of big cinnamon, mint, nutmeg, ginger, clove, vanilla, coffee, cream, and pepper spice; with balanced milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, fudge, caramel, brown sugar, and toasted dark bread malt sweetness. Light-moderate herbal spice and roasted bitterness; touch of char. Bittersweet balanced finish, with a fantastic creamy/silky medium-full body mouthfeel. Some light sticky/chalky notes and dryness from the spices and roast malts. Very smooth with a small lingering warmth of alcohol and pepper heat. Super rich and decadent. Perfect balance of spices and stout flavors. Definitely going to stock up on more like I did last year, still on the shelf currently. Incredible all around, one of my favorite spiced stouts.

Back home after the holidays. Plans for today are to give some newly acquired vintage furniture a clean while I sip a few beers and watch some movies!

BrewDog/ Omipollo collab: Flat-Pack Fruit Bat. Just ok. Slightly regretting buying more than one of these, I was hoping for a raspberry version of Omnipollo's excellent Protein Shake IPA but this drinks more like a tart Gose, almost no IPA quality except for a touch of pine at all.
