I was told by a somewhat reliable source that the distribution contract was signed and Cigar City beers will be on shelves and refrigerators in NC by April of 2017

There should be a lot more states getting CCB beers in the next year or so thanks to the Oskar Blues deal.

Really hoping NC sees more than their core beers (Jai Alai, Maduro, Florida Cracker, Invasion and Lager). I'd love regular access to some White Oak Jai Alai.

I was at my in-laws in NoVa over Thanksgiving and couldn't believe the amount of White Oak I saw. Not that it necessarily means it will make it to NC, but I didn't know it made it out Florida.

we got one drop of WO JA here in NoVA, but it was pretty easy to find at the time. Other than that, we only get the core lineup. I wouldn't get too excited about this, it basically means one more brand of ordinary beer on the shelf.

True. But Jai Alai is a damn good shelf beer. I am all for putting it all in distro and fuck the secondary market. Hmmmmm.....Now if we can just get some Trillium or Veil on the shelf here in Florida...

Yay, another set of expensive shelf turd beers to clog up the shelves.

Here's a solution. Don't buy it. More wo jai alai for me. Just got back from Asheville. You got enough local real shelf turds that taste far worse.

Agree. Decidedly unimpressed with Cigar City esp after hearing so much about Jai Alai

CCB just released their distribution calendar and said that you could expect to see all the listed beers released across their entire distribution footprint.

"What does 2017 hold for us? For starters, it holds a brand new Distribution Calendar. Many of the beers on the Distribution Calendar have never been released outside of the Tampa market and we're excited to share these beers with Cigar City fans throughout our distribution footprint. Beer lovers throughout Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and New York can expect to see beers like Marshal Zhukov's Penultimate Push, Guayabera Citra Pale Ale and Cafe con Leche Sweet Stout that were previously only available in the Tasting Room in bars and retail stores throughout these markets.

Other small-batch favorites will see new package formats. El Coco, a coconut flan-inspired ale, will see release in Nitro kegs, adding more body and depth of flavor to a truly unique beer. Crowd favorites including Vanilla Maduro Brown Ale and Guayabera Citra Pale Ale will be released in cans outside of Florida for the first time ever."

So what you are saying, is we can probably get this thread shutdown, as CCB isn't coming to NC yet?

As long as we get more than just their year-round line-up in cans.

Yeah, but I'd be happy to have fresh Jai Alai and Maduro available, I won't be too greedy at first

No need to be on pins and needles. Already expressed my opinion: Cigar City=average at best.
