I fully understand that the "no plating of double cheeseburgers" is for the Brew Café and not the Fermentaria I just find it funny is all.

I for one look forward to Jean's (the Stephen Starr of Ardmore) asian fusion bistro.

It's because Tired Hands statement "Calling us a "Brewpub" would be a gross overstatement of our brewery model." is dripping with arrogance.

You don't see the irony when the thing they talk down, they then do?

Why are people so obsessed with finding reasons to call Jean & co arrogant? They're some of the coolest, friendliest guys I've encountered in beer.

People see some youngish guys in band shirts and assume they're some hipster assholes. Just talk to them, they're pretty chill guys.

If Jean said half the shit Shaun Hill says this thread would lose its collective mind, but somehow the Hill Farmstead thread is actually readable and people mostly talk about beer. Crazy.

So how's the burger they serve at the cafe? I haven't had it.

I agree, have never had anything but good service at both locations. Jean and company are friendly and work hard, even on crazy busy days. People see what they want to see, but I think they are just enjoying what they are doing.

The veggie burger is pretty good, never had the regular one, but my dad enjoys them.

For clarity's sake, a haricot vert is literally a green bean.

Also for clarity's sake I just copied and pasted Jean's panini. We really get on tangents on this thread don't we. I'm hoping that something sticks around this evening after the initial rush, would be nice to end 2016 on a simple release.

I know you were, I noticed that the last time I was there and thought it was funny, I didn't mean to make it sound like YOU were using a fancy name for an ordinary thing.

Right on. Even more puzzling to me is when people complain about the bar staff. The bar staff at both locations are great. They haul ass when it's slammed, and are chill and approachable when it's empty. And helpful pretty much all the time.

I mean sure, there's a degree of smug arrogance in the way they present themselves sometimes, but it's pretty tame for the food and drink biz. Don't take it personal.

Not to continue "bashing" Tired Hands but I recall many people expressing displeasure at recent HopHands not tasting like old HopHands. Tired Hands just said that the beer "hasn't changed a bit"

The burger is good, but the chicken sandwich is well worth the price of admission.

Businesses will make all sorts of claims. As part of the 'philosophy' of caveat emptor I have learned to trust my own judgement when it comes to consumer transactions.

What are your personal thoughts on Hop Hands? Does it taste the 'same' to you?

    Cheers!

I won't comment on whether the flavor has changed but HopHands used to be 4.8% and I am 99% certain the yeast strain they use today is not the same yeast strain they used when they first opened a few years back.

I haven't had it since 2013 so I have no way of knowing.
