Just saw fresh 12-packs of Citrusinensis at a local shop. According to the Lagunitas website it is now a Jan-March limited release (no longer one-hitter) in 12-packs. That beer screams summer months...

I wish it came in 6-pack. I just cannot get myself to buy a 12-pack of that one.

That's how it comes (6 packs),which you'd know if you had ever had it. So your reply is meaningless

Wonder how it is this year. Way too much malt in the taste for my preference last year, especially with something with the word "citrus" in the title. Maybe it'll be closer to Born Yesterday lol.

I couldn't find it in bottles last year, found it on tap. I am a freak for anything blood orange and I thought this was one of the better blood orange beers. I am slowly coming to the realization that Lagunitas is probably my favorite brewery when I can find it fresh. Especially now that one of the local restaurant chains that my family loves has their IPA in the cooler now as one of their staple beers and for some reason it is always < 30 days old.

Kind of odd it's draft and 12 pack only, no six packs (same with 12th of never). If it's a beer I like then the 12 pack format is great as it's typically less expensive than buying 2 sixers but for beers I've never had I'm hesitant to buy 12.

Saw it at my local bottle shop yesterday for $19.99/12 pack. Great price!

I remember this beer taking a giant step in the wrong direction last year. The year before I loved it, last year the blood orange tasted artificial. Any feedback on this years would be appreciated as you have to commit to buying 12.....

Same. Even as my tastes in beer expand and my palate becomes more refined, I've actually grown to like Lagunitas more and more over the past few years. I now easily consider them one of my favorite breweries. They just can't be beat when it comes to availability, affordability, diversity, and reliability. The one and only thing I wish they would change is getting rid of the pointless Julian code and going to a regular bottle date.

My local shop had a case of this a couple weeks ago, selling singles for $3 each.

I bought one and thought it was horrible. Would not buy again.

This was my first time trying it so I can't compare to other batches.

I don't mind the julian code so much, it is just so damned hard to read if the bottles are cold. I sit there in the store pulling bottles and twirling them around in my hand to remove the condensation so I can read the date, looks like I am giving the bottle a hand job. What really pissed me off is I grabbed a 12 pack of their sucks in the christmas pack second week of December and it was dated 271 (my bad for not cracking the case), shit was already 77 days old. Should have held out for the Valentine's day pack

Looking at the 3 reviews for this years batch, it seems pretty consistent with last year. Blood orange is not your typical citrus, you will have a follow up mild sourness in there that some people don't like.

I've had all 3 batches now (I think). Check-ins were July 15', Feb 16', and this latest batch.

Has it changed? Hard for me to say with so much time in-between. I still love it though.

One of the best craft deals to be had at $18.99 a 12-pack. I would not sleep on this one, especially while fresh.

I absolutely loved this beer 2 years ago and didn't really care for it last year. Which is this? I don't want to get stuck with a 12 pack of what was released last year.

I haven't tried this batch, but have the same question.

Last year's was clearer (compared to two yeas ago) and more palatable to those that value clarity. However, I preferred the older version as it was almost "pulpy" and very juicy. Many people voiced displeasure with that version though...
