There's a lot of variety in malts, so you may or may not have a favorite malt style, but as far as well-balanced IPAs with a significant malt backbone go, you can't go wrong with Bell's Two Hearted Ale.

90 Min is what you need in your life.

I think of 90 Minute and Two Hearted as malty or "old school", but you are probably looking for something you haven't had. Big Sky IPA and since you have OH connections, Wolf's Ridge Earthrise (just recently bottled) are a couple I can think of.

It's been a while since I've been to SC, but I remember COAST Hop Art as having a solid malt backbone a few years back. For widely distributed stuff, I'll second (more like fifth) the Celebration recommendation.

One that hasn't been mentioned that I bet you'd enjoy is Tröegs Nugget Nectar. Cheers!

Lagunitas Tuberfest was my favorite malty IPA this past year.

Had these recently, both Sixpoint Bengali and Resin (DIPA) are hop forward but with plenty of well balanced malt sweetness underneath.

Not strictly IPA's but Dogfish Head Indian Brown Ale and Stone Pastaskala have big rich toasty malt backbones and loads of hops to boot

Or just let a regular IPA sit in the fridge for 4 or 5 months...

Hallelujah brother. A good amount of the "juice bomb" IPAs coming out these days get to be too dry for my taste. I need some malt sweetness to go with the burst of hop flavor and bitterness. In particular, most of Other Half's IPAs are just way too dry for me. Also, I'm getting so sick of people asking me for recommendations on a good citrusy IPA and, as soon as I even use the word "malt" in the slightest, they're immediately turned off. Like they're a vampire and malt is their crucifix

I love White Rajah and some other malt-balanced IPAs I can think of are Blind Pig, Ithaca Flower Power, Lakefront IPA, Great Divide Rumble, Caldera IPA and many 3 Floyds IPAs.

I consider Two Hearted to be more balanced than other IPAs, but it is still hoppy. Drink a Bock or Doppelbock in the 7% ABV range to set you palate to malty, then try Two Hearted.

I would say DFH 60 Minute. I'm not sure if the recipe has ever been tweaked to accommodate the modern penchant for more and more hops, but I remember the nice interplay of hops and malt as groundbreaking (way) back in the 90s. I still love the beer.
Also, Meantime IPA. I haven't had one in a while, but I recall a nice malt base and a very distinctive (lovely) floral aspect to both aroma and taste.

This time of year, you should be able to find Pabst's reinvention of Ballantine Burton Ale, which is stupendously malty.

The Pabst Ballantine IPA is also malty. Most IPA's 7 or more years old are malty IMO.

Avery hog heaven dry hopped bareleywi... I mean red IPA has a great malt backbone behind a really clean hop profile. Also lawyers guns and money from crazy mountain brewing fits the bill.

My palate has since changed from malty IPAs but...

Sierra Nevada Celebration - I could always happily drink this all year round. It ages well too, as I've had them 9 months after and always think: "How is this so good, and how come I never remember this beer?"

Dogfish Head 90 Minute - For someone who doesn't like 60 and 120, 90 is a nice surprise.
