Happy new year all. It's a cloudy, dreary day off from work here. Figured I'd try some new beers. Cheers!

Busy afternoon on WBAYDN?, BAs - especially for a Monday!

I thought long and hard about this next beer, and ... oh wait, no I didn't! I saw I still had 20 left in the case, and the choice was made for me.

Narwhal is one of only three beers that I buy a case of each year. (Heady would make four, if I could guarantee a case every time I visited Vermont. :flushed:) I might drink a case a year of certain other beers, but I don't buy them by the case. FBS is one of the others, and Hoptimum is the third. It probably says something about Sierra Nevada's quality that they hold two out of those three spots.

    Cheers!

Sort of. Then I realized it was 2pm, the kids were still in their pajamas, I hadn't feed them lunch, and my daughter was upset because she couldn't pour water on our carpet to make a parade float with a pool. Real life is still fun though:slight_smile:. But, now kids are fed and dressed, and my wife came home in time to make them water out of construction paper:stuck_out_tongue:. Crisis averted!:sunglasses:

Altho I drink my coffee w/no sugar, this cream ale reminds me of the smell of coffee in about 100 Jersey diners and the coffee drinkers who take cream and 2-3 sugar scoops - but not super strong coffee at all - cream ale from Carton Regular Coffee. Cheers

Glad to hear SNPA is holding up at four months, @cjgiant, 'cause I still haven't cracked the ones in this variety pack yet.

Currently sitting at Hofbrahaus in Cleveland enjoying some fantastic lagers. The Dunkel is on point tonight along with the Hefeweizen. Dunkel is perfect balanced with just enough caramel sweetness and the faintest roast hint. The Hefeweizen with banana up front and a wonderful clove finish, remaining crisp and very drinkable. Beautiful beers!

Yeah, I'm not saying I'm going to age SNPA for four months, but I also am not going to complain about having to drink some "old ones" if the situation arises .

Carrying on with a Schlafly Tasmanian IPA. Surprisingly opaque and still holding strong despite being past its prime. Still enjoying my day off while watching The Grand Tour Namibia special. Cheers!

Tree is down, summer music schedule is established, reservations for Anniversary trip are done . Now for another stab at Operation Cellar Clean Out.
I miss Pretty Thing Beer and Ale Project,
This KK from Once Upon a Time Series was a favorite. A hugely hop forward black ale from a 1901 recipe. Basement has allowed the hops to go sweet, fig, the malts to migrate toward black strap molasses. Really glad to have 2 more "resting"
    Cheers all
