Good evening BA, hope everyone had a good Tuesday back at work. Not too busy yet for me, but it will be by the end of the week. I have to drive to Toledo assembly plant on Friday. Looking like a pretty busy thread for a weekday today.

    New Beer reviews:

Really nice Czech Pils. Awesome head retention and lacing on the glass; crystal clarity. Aromas and flavors of lemon, orange, pineapple, herbal, floral, grassy, and light peppery hops; with balanced cracker, biscuit, light honey malts. Light herbal/spicy balancing bitterness on the finish. Medium bodied; nice bready/grainy creaminess in the mouthfeel; touch of hop stickiness and minimal dryness. Perfectly clean lagering with no estery/yeasty presence at all. Fairly crisp and very refreshing. The Mandarina Bavaria hops add a nice twist of citrus/fruity notes; but this feels like a spot on Bohemian Pils all the way through. Very flavorful and well balanced. 3.91

Great hoppy American brown! Awesome head retention and dense lasting lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper, and piney hops; with balanced caramel, brown sugar, and toasted brown bread malt; with lighter malt notes of chocolate, cocoa, coffee, and nuttiness; and additional herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine/citrus peel/spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium bodied; balanced bready/grainy creaminess and hop stickiness in the mouthfeel. Lightly resinous and increasingly drying finish, but never astringent. Very bright and pretty dank on hops, but not over done. Really enjoyed the balance between hops and malts. Nice all around complexity and very drinkable. 4.03

Very nice APA. Aromas and flavors of tangerine, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, mango, melon, grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper, and pine hops; with some cracker/bready malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine/herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish. Light-medium bodied; sticky/resinous and fairly grainy/bready balanced in the mouthfeel. Moderately crisp and dry finish; never astringent on bitterness. Very bright on hops with just enough malt for bitterness balance. Very refreshing and drinkable. A pleasing showcase of Equinox/Mosaic hops. 3.88

Imperial Shandy collab with Acme Market in Akron. This was great! Aromas and flavors of big lightly tart lemonade, grapefruit, lime, and tangerines; with some wheat, cracker, bready malts; slight herbal hop character. Minimal bitterness with light tangy fruit tartness on the finish. Light-medium bodied; very crisp, refreshing, and moderately dry finish. Slight grainy wheat malt and fruit acidity in the mouthfeel. 8% goes absolutely unnoticed. This is the most refreshing 8% beer I've ever had. Tons of bright citrus fruit/soda flavor with solid malt balance. No complaints! Spot on for the style. 4

    It's been a long day.

Needless to say, It is time to relax. I picked up a few movies to watch before bed. Until then I will enjoy a few more brews.

First up is this Dirty Bastard from Founder's Brewing Co.

This pours a dark brown almost red tinted in color. Zero to half an inch of a head that quickly vanishes. Nose of you guessed it, Scotch, sweet malt, caramel and perhaps toffee. A bit sweet. Tastes very light and smooth for a 8.5 % ABV wich is undetectable unless you swish around your palate. The more I drink of this the more complex the finish after every sip. Overall I would definitely give this another go.

I wish I would have tried this sooner.

Finishing off the night with an IPA just because.

    Lagunitas IPA

This brew pours a light amber color. Pine and citrus on the nose. Im going to be honest guys this smells like some green sticky icky Indica/Sativa. Taste is very pronounced Tropical fruits galore. Reminds me alot of their 12th of never, just lacking the guava/pineapple. Mouth feel is light and fizzy. Overall a decent IPA. Very drinkable sessionable brew.[IMG]
