2017 Founders Imperial Stout

 

Good morning BAs! Well,we never received our scheduled snow yesterday or overnight - whom do I see about that? Today's New Breakfast Beer is one I've had pre-BA so at least I consider it to be new. Actually, it wasn't in my dbase which goes back to 2005 so maybe I'm only hallucinating about having it previously. Anyway:



A passable quad, not the best of quads, not the worst of quads. Generic whiskey barrels not evident to me at this point in the space-time continuum.

 

I meant to post this last night but fell asleep in the middle of a movie after drinking it

This is a very well done coconut stout. I really appreciate that they use real coconut (there are even coconut floaties) unlike many of the other guys. Hats off to Cycle!

Unrelated, I listen to Moon Taxi, the Alabama Shakes, Black Keys, & Bahamas a lot and this band "The Revivalists" came up on Pandora radio. I really dig their sound.

Good morning and Happy Thursday BA's! Anyone else think this week is going by at a snails pace ? Maybe it's just due to my nervous and excited anticipation for this weekends festivities. Who knows. So anyway, I've got big news: Tomorrow marks the 150th GotD ...! I'm not sure if the Staff has anything special planned or not, but we'll see . All right, it's time for the 149th Glass of the Day Awards!

GotD: For a glass from a renowned producer of fine beverages that I will sadly never have the ability to try , Cheers and congrats to @Nachos4two for bringing a brewery back from the dead with this Pretty Things high stemmed goblet.
2nd: The first of a double dose of Bruery ware, to @juablu for this proper snifter post. Congrats on your 2017 Reserve Society membership !
3rd: And the second of said dose, a long overdue mention to @SammyJaxxxx for this unique Bruery Terreux stemmed gem!

Honorable mentions go out to @jeffgott for an awesome Aslin pokal, and to @goingbrokeonbeer for keeping the "Many Vases of 2017" thing going, with this Pilsner Urquell "vase" .
