We just got our first official snow in Virginia and while it isn't enough to be completely snowed in it does put me in the mood for some snow day beers. If you were suddenly snowed in for the day what beer(s) would you crack open from your current personal stash? I think I'd go for an Olde School I've been saving for a few years or a Parabola. Bourbon County usually hits the spot on days like this as well.

I'd probably grab a nice porter :rolling_eyes::rolling_eyes:. To be perfectly honest, I find that whatever beer moves you is the one that's going to work for any occasion. IPAs have this amazing ability to transfer time and space. Every time I drink one I feel like I can be wherever I want to be. As a matter of fact, it may be snowing in CT right now, but I'm currently pool side being fed grapes by a harem of Spanish women, while Kate Upton is washing my hair with a can of Heady Topper.

    LARRRRGE™.

We haven't gotten much snow this year in mid Ohio, but when it does snow I love a chewy stout.

So, perfect day to finish off last year's beers, however, if I had to go with a favorite on a snow day it would be Mad Elf, brewed by Troegs.

We had 9.5 inches last night and this morning. This is more than normal and tonight is going to be around 5 F. The sun is out and nothing is melting. I have a date with a not so cold Aventinus!

I have a little bit of a vintage Weyerbacher Tiny left from a bottle I opened last night, I also pulled a homebrew IPA from my backstock. I may crack into my backlog of BCBS and or KBS later on. Don't know yet.

I'll be popping my first one in a bit, but I generally enjoy their other beers- slightly rustic takes on classic styles.

My go to is DFH Palo Santo Marron. It was one of the first beers I've enjoyed during a snow storm, sticking with the nostalgia...
