What's with all the veiled brags ("RARE is the best GI beer, IMO." "King Henry is pretty awesome.", etc...)? OP is clearly asking about regular shelf beers...

OP - I like Matilda and Sofie a lot, as well as Honker's. 312 is pretty good for what it is.

Y'all inspired me to break open my 2011 Matilda tonight with some ribeye steaks. Cheers!

...2011 Sofie is still waiting patiently in the cellar.

Sofie, Matilda and 312 are all pretty solid and easy to find.

My real favorites though are King Henry, BCBS, BCBCS and juliet

For the price....GI regulars are tough to beat. As said by many: Matilda is great (my fav of the 4 standard vintage ales).

The Nut Brown is just back in production and not always easy to find yet. It is a great brown in my book. Nice nutty, flavors with a touch of sweetness.

Not yet mentioned is their Mild Winter. This is an amazing beer if you like rye. I buy this by the case and drink it year around. A semi-spicey rye with a nice backbone. Creamy and chewy....I love the mouthfeel. This beer is my favorite nightcap. I look forward to the new batch release.

Sofie is great and the most affordable barrel aged saison.

This. I can't believe it took til the second page for someone to say this. If you are going to make a snarky reply to someone asking for real answers, at least make sure the OP knows you are joking...like, "hey, I hear Rare and King Henry are pretty good but you'll have a better chance of finding a one-legged field goal kicker than one of these gems".

Of the few I have had, Bourbon County Brand Stout (still hard to find but you never know), Matilda and Sofie are nice.

Rare and King Henry are both amazing, if you get a chance to try them. If not, get the Bourbon County Stout. Come to think of it, get the Bourbon County Stout no matter what.

I WAS a huge fan of their Oatmeal Stout, until they got rid of it...

Bourbon County stout is my favorite of theirs, but the India Pale Ale of their's got me interested in ipas to begin with. I still enjoy it from time to time and is a beer that I can have a six pack of and enjoy the whole way through.

Forgot all about the oatmeal stout. I bought it every now and again and thought it was very well done. As soon as it was announced to be discontinued I bout it, in Hay till it was out. Funny how I took it for granted untill they took it away.

matilda is a unique beer. i first had it ages ago and liked it but then got tired of it quickly, finding it too sweet, but i have come back around on it big time. i still prefer sofie from their reg. offerings but matilda is an awesome bretty beer for the price, it has a really nice complexity about it.

Juliet, King Henry, BCBs (reg, vanilla, rare), pepe Nero are all great (I don't get Gi here, so I haven't had all of their stuff)

But my favorite so far is Bramble BCBS. And if anyone has one or two to trade shoot me a BM
