Cheers you all! I have learned, I have learned my lesson. I bought more than one of these. It's a good thing too because I made a roast to pair with it originally. I have a dish in mind for today with the leftovers! =) Happy new beer Sunday!

It is not exactly Christmas anymore but I still have a Leffe de Noël or two home. I think I have been on my longest 'beer dry spell' since I joined BA, and possibly way before that.

Good morning BA, have a great Sunday! Probably going to do some cleaning today, along with more work projects that need finished up.

Great English winter warmer! 2015 is tasting amazing right now. Big flavors of raisin, plum, fig, cherry, pear, apple, caramel, brown sugar, molasses, toasted biscuit, and light nutty/roast maltiness; with some light herbal, floral, pepper, piney hop notes; with a bit of yeasty earthiness. Light pine/spicy bitterness; very smooth and creamy; light hop stickiness and slickness in the mouthfeel. This has mellowed out a ton on the hops now. Perfectly balanced between malt/yeast flavors now, with pretty subtle hop presence. Great mouthfeel too, a lot less drying. I can still get this vintage in a few places; it still sits on the shelf. I definitely prefer it aged over fresh. Awesome complexity.

Always outstanding. I am definitely buying this more often now, since I can get it in cans. Flavors of big grapefruit, orange peel, citrus rind, pepper, and piney hops; with balancing sweetness of caramel, brown sugar, toffee, brown bread, toasted biscuit, and light nutty/chocolate malts; with some light raisin/fig dark fruits and herbal/grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine/rind/spicy bitterness. Medium-full bodied; balanced bready creaminess and sticky/resinous hops in the mouthfeel. Increasingly drying, but never astringent on resins. Really awesome balance and complexity. I prefer it with a bit of age. This has about 5 months going for it.

Incredible as usual this year. Flavors of big juicy grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, apricot, mango, lemon/orange peel, and pine hops; with moderate honey/bready malt sweetness; and floral/grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine/citrus rind bitterness; with an awesome balanced creamy/sticky/resinous medium-full bodied mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing resin dryness, with zero lingering hop astringency. Not overly sweet or bitter, extremely well balanced. Lightly warming alcohol, but extremely easy drinking. Never disappoints. Just grabbed the last six pack off the corner store shelf earlier last week. Might grab another assuming they are doing another shipment at the end of the month like usual.

Last year's batch is tasting awesome! Just passed 1 year old last month. Flavors of big caramel, brown sugar, peat smoke, brown bread, nuttiness, toasted oak, vanilla, maple, raisin, fig, date, juniper berry, and pepper/clove yeast spice. Light-moderate herbal bitterness and spicy yeast finish; with an awesome balance of malt sweetness and yeast/oak character. Medium-full bodied creamy mouthfeel, a touch slick/syrupy. Never cloyingly sweet. I hope they release this again this month. Still some on the shelf now too from last year, will definitely grab another pack. This was my last one.

    Cheers

It is very unsatisfying when a Biere de Garde does not have a French name, but nonetheless this one here is very enjoyable, as most Ommegang offerings tend to be. Cheers everyone!

[IMG] Orpheus has a new double ipa, i still prefer transmigration even though its seasonal, there's a hop in this one that throws me off a little.[IMG] [IMG] [IMG] Sierra's new one seems to be flying off the shelf in the grocery, went back for more and one left. They need to can it in a 12 pack. Grocery wanted $9.49

OK! I want iIhaca to please make the beer last longer. Sigh,. The fudge is not white. SO I no longer believe any of the other people's blogs that did include photos of white friggin' fudge.

    That looks matte right?
