Yes, and even more annoying when it is not on their website either. When I do a review, I include ABV and IBU, so if it's not on the container or brewery website, then you can't trust others sources which may just be guesses.

Another is when they mix units of measure on bombers such as 1 pint, 6 oz. You drink a bomber of high ABV beer and they expect you to do conversions and math? Just call it 22 oz!

Or different websites - and even bars - give conflicting information.

I know I'll be a minority but that's OK-bombers and cans. Give me a 12 oz or pint anyday.

I know it's stupid but maybe others experience this too . . . My shop doesn't have an exceptionally high turnover rate but a few of the employees insist on teaching me about the beer everytime I visit, Sigh . . . I am a frequent spender for about 5 years now. At least the owner let's me browse.

Unclear or inaccurate measures of beer sold in a bar. Two problems. First, the menu does not state how many ounces are in a "glass". Second, the glass contains no markings.

I like glasses that with marks that show a quantity for the pour AND have some room above for head.

Chewy is another of those descriptors that has been borrowed from the wine world. It is a real thing and it does have a "face". Kinda like working your mouth to keep extracting flavor that seems to keep going.

Put me down for not knowing the bottled date (I don't care for a best by date). It should be global, not regional.

I'm on board with this sentiment. I don't want blood orange, or mango or other fruit in my beer. When I see the latest buzzword "Tropical" on the label I run away as fast as I can. As soon as someone figures out how to come up with meat flavored beers I'm sure we'll see it on the shelves, things like "Baby Back Ale", "Pork Chop Porter","Smoked Blood Sausage Stout aged in Bourbon barrels", etc ....

These days I really respect a good quality beer without all the gimmickry but it seems they're getting harder to find.

Trying to explain the importance of proper glassware without sounding like a pretentious douche bag. :grinning:

agree.....If you say its a pint it better be 16oz...not a 14oz with 2 oz of head....

    Enjoy

Seeing BAs post pictures of beer with glasses that aren't properly washed. If the bubbles are all sticking to the sides of the glass, it's not properly clean!

I wish there were some type of regulation requiring all draft beer sold in bars to be in marked glassware, too many places are using excessively thick glassware so it looks like you're getting a pint but it's more like 12 oz.

This obsession with IPA's and the overhopping of beers which traditionally are not even supposed to be hoppy based on the style.
