New Mercer County Brewery

Those are the normal operating hours, but Brick Farm has been closed for the past week (winter break I guess?), and will be closed though this weekend as well. They reopen on Tuesday the 10th according to their FB.

That said, according to Alex/Troon via their FB, you can get growler fills at the brewery this weekend:

"Growler fills are a little weird this weekend because I'm brewing a bunch of new beers but I will be open 5-8pm tomorrow (Friday), 6-9pm Saturday and probably all day Sunday. Hope you have a chance to swing by."

For those confused as to where Troon is vs the Brick Farm, they are on the same grounds. Pull into the Brick Farm driveway, but stay to the right, meaning avoid the valet parkers on the left. Follow the driveway past where the valet's park cars and go toward to the back to where the pavement ends and it's just gravel. Once you cross onto the gravel you will see two buildings, directly ahead is the Sourland Distillery (they have a sign), and to the right is Troon. There's limited parking back there in the gravel lot.

 

Any chance open on the Monday the 16th?

 

He has said in the past if you contact him he will be there to fill for you. Try it.

 

The Referend will be open tomorrow (only open two Saturdays a month). Looks like they have a new Faro http://www.thereferend.com/discussion/2017/1/5/faro-icewine-eugene-oneill

Anyone try their stuff last month for the opening? I'm intrigued, haven't made it out yet. Not sure what to expect

Good to know its cash only. I have two local liquor stores telling me to watch out for Troon. I don't make my way to hopewell often but I'm hoping hey are open for mlk day when I'm off. Carton usually did the coffee release that weekend so I'm hoping for a double brewery day and excited to see what they may put out.

 

I'm not sure if the cash only thing is still true almost two months since the post you quoted. Last few times I was in there (last weekend and the weekend before) there was what appeared to be an ipad POS system set up. Full disclosure, I still bring cash there myself. But it appears that Troon is either accepting CC now, or will be very soon. Just saying...

 

Anyone know if he's open at noon today? Hours aren't clearly posted.

Grabbed a few 32 oz growlers at Troon today. Damn, Working Retail...is an unbelievably hoppy, juicy DIPA. Between this place and Conclave this area is can't miss for fresh growler fills.

 

I grabbed Tentshow and Clown Paint last night. Tried Tentshow, it's pretty damn great. Tons of tropical/pineapple/guava, type things going on...

Haven't tried Clown Paint yet. But getting a good response on Untapped so far. For whatever that's worth...

I stopped by this evening. Grabbed Tentshow and Working Retail since the stout kicked. They were still open for growler fills at 4:45pm, in fact it was crowded! Really cool dude and great sounding beer names. Too bad he ran out of CO2 while I was there!

 

So happy I learned about Troon here on BA! I'm up visiting family in Princeton, and headed over there today. Just finishing my growler of Working Retail and it's insanely good, wish I'd picked up more!

 

Not sure what this means over at Troon. New shirts maybe? Alex mentioned there's new glassware on the way as well.



p.s. I can confirm their POS system is up and running. So looks like credit/debit is now accepted there.
