Planning on taking the family to Disney world later this year. We will be flying in and doing the Disney transportation to one of their properties so I will not have a car. What I need to know is 1. Where is the closest place to grab some singles for the hotel and 2 is there a good bottleshop close I can taxi to to grab some bombers to take home with me? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Epcot sells craft. And some other beers when you visit Poland, Germany etc on your tour around the countries. FYI.

Try the Kungaloosh at Animal Kingdom. It's a shockingly good spiced brown that could pass for a porter if someone called it that.

I was completely unprepared for how good it is.

Send yourself a shipment. I've done this for everything from beer and wine to diapers and breakfast cereal

Anyone have any intel/insight into whether Whole Foods or any stores within reasonable driving distance of Disney reliably get pseudoSue cans? I know there's been a lot of consternation about Florida Sue falling short, but I suspect even in its diminished form it's probably better than most other local offerings.

Also debating making the trek over to Civil Society in Jupiter, but if anyone has any intel on NEIPAs being brewed within less than a 4-hour round trip of Orlando, that information would be very much appreciated.

As far as Pseudo goes, last I heard Orlando wasn't getting it, but that may have changed. If it has, Whole Foods, Total Wine, or Knightly on Orange Blossom would be your best bet within what I would consider reasonable driving distance.

For NE style IPAs, yeah CS is doing them well and has the added bonus of Crowlers if no cans are currently available. For something closer(~1hr each way),I recommend Tampa Bay Beer Works in Brandon. They are making some excellent juicy NE style IPAs. Bonus here is you drive right by Brew Hub where Pseudo is canned. You also can hit the wonderful Craft Beer Cellar, also in Brandon. Of course at this point you're within nice range of Coppertail and Angry Chair.....

This is hugely helpful, thanks! Can you buy Sue four-packs directly from Brew Hub? Also, what are your feelings on Florida Sue? Overblown, or is it actually dramatically different? Thanks!

Yes you can buy Pseudo 4 packs directly from the brew-hub. In my opinion, yes the Pseudo directly from TG is better, BUT Brew Hub Pseudo is still excellent and gets that little extra bonus for being canned. You can always try it in tap there first to see if you want to take some with you. It's literally right off the interstate and can be a quick stop off.

Ok I know I already advised, but I figured I'd put my money where my mouth is and stop off at Brew Hub tonight. I just left Tampa Bay Beer Works and their delicious NE style IPAs that I had bragged about in my last post and here I sit....disappointed with the PseudoSue draft I'm drinking. I'm highly jealous of my wife who ordered MIA's Mega Mix pale ale instead. I'm probably going to be taking a six pack of that to go over the Pseudo honestly.

Right on! Is this them: http://www.tampabeerworks.com/ They don't seem to have much of a social media presence? Is Mega Mix also available at Brew Hub? Thanks!

Yes that's them! Their Facebook game is pretty strong. Not sure otherwise. Mega Mix is available on tap and in 6 packs at BrewHub.

Definitely Uber taxis are over priced here! Their is a Total Wine by the mall at millenia with a good selection and a World of beer on Dr.Phillips and if you have time to check out a brewery Crooked Can isn't far from the parks and has a cool marketplace connected if your bringing the family. Safe Travels!

    Hey all,

As my trip's getting closer, thought I'd check back in to see if there was any new news on any NE-style IPAs being brewed closer to Disney than Civil Society?

    Thanks!

Red Cypress' stuff looks damn tasty, and it also looks like they just started canning? Any idea on how frequent can sales might be? Are they selling out the day-of or do things hang around throughout the week? Greatly appreciate any additional details you may have.

Hopefully someone else can answer this question more completely. I'm pretty sure the cans that they released this past Saturday are gone already.

This last release sold out the second day I believe.

They are releasing a can June 3rd, but as far as I know, it's the first time this beer has been made. So I can't speak to how good it is. They make solid stuff though.
