FYI beer bros......Just called RAM in Schaumburg...both Hops on Hops and coco-nilla are available for growler fills. Looks like I know where I am heading on my lunch break....

Damn it! If forgot my growler at home. Good thing it's only 20 minutes away but I hate doubling back.

I went there about an hour or so ago and was able to get a taste of CoCo-Nilla just as the keg went empty. Unfortunately no growler for me.

I was still able to get a growler of Hops on Hops which made me happy!

Fercrissakes, the trade threads are OUT OF BOUNDS (as if that wasn't obvious enough beforehand). Hell, I'd like to try a Side Note but am not going to give up my first and second born child, mortgage my house, etc. to grab a Meh or Chaos. :astonished::grimacing:

I was lucky to get a Side Note #4 Smore Luv last year in a trade and it is one of the best stouts I've ever had. Getting a second is proving very very difficult however. The insane demand along with the fact there just aren't that many out there make trading for Side Notes pretty tough.

I just shared my last bottle on Sunday. We did VR, FOb2, Sumi Ink, Ground State, Space Trace, S'more Luv, and Coco-Nilla. There were 4 of us and S'more Luv was the unanimous choice.

Good gravy that's quite a share. Smore Luv was the beer to get me into stouts. I've had lots of things the past couple of years but nothing on that level. I've been on the hunt for another so if you ever see anyone wanting to get rid of one...

Curious to know where Coco-Nilla ended up in that, if you guys ranked them all. Did you do them blind?

We did not do them blind. Space Trace is pure coconut and Ground State was the only one with coffee, so we didn't think blind would really do much. Sumi Ink had essentially no vanilla and FO was a vanilla bomb. VR, not surprisingly, was the most balanced of the BA stouts. I think I'd prefer FO with a little more time on it. Coco-Nilla has the thickest mouthfeel of any of the beers. It was a toss up between that and VR for 2nd. One person did prefer FO over VR.

Anyone know if these are still available for draft and/or growlers? Based on Untappd, looks like Hops on Hops may still be around but no sign of Coconilla the last couple of days.

I didn't go initially because I didn't want a growler all to myself, but now I have a share coming up.

CoCo-Nilla is for sure gone. Not certain about Hops on Hops. I'd call before going.
