How large is too large? I drink at least one full Bruery beer a night, if I'm doing sours maybe 2-3. I haven't received mine yet but I'm looking forward to trying some cuvees since I have room to do it now. I guess I could just use a glass for each beer then blend later, but I like the idea of early blending so they warm together.

Well, contrary to what I see on IG, you're *not* supposed to pour the whole bottle into the glass. Haha.

I usually try to stop at the widest part of the RS glass (I'll go a little further with sours), it seems to be roughly 8-10oz there.

I've been lobbying for "every adjunct ever" to be the blend for "Suicide Sunday" in days-of-the week discussions for at least a few years, so you're not allowed to steal it.

I can confirm that MT at least came up to Terreux to make the beer so it's not like they are brewing them independent from each other. What the beer itself is though, I have no clue.

My understanding is a year ago or so, each spot brewed the same base beer but I would assume each location used their own yeast and cultures. They've been stocked in barrels ever since them. I believe Cascade actually pulled their barrels a couple weeks ago. Once they are ready they will both be adding the same type of fruit (no idea what) and then releasing it. I know they are trying to see who can basically make the better beer by using the same ingredients but doing it their own unique way.

And on a side note, if you bought the new glasses, make sure you check them before you take them. I bought one at Terreux last night and it had a scratch going down the side of it. Luckily I caught it and they swapped it out with no problem.

Also, its really sad that I was the only person in terreux last night, minus the people who work there. That place is awesome and gets no love.

I find myself hardly going to the original tasting room since Terreux is much more relaxed and has easy to find seating.

If I lived nearby I'd be in there daily.

    100%

Food trucks can be accessed without leaving your beer behind. No lines, ever. Great bottle selection and the place looks fantastic.

Sad thing though, the few people I saw come in last night kind of knew what it was, AKA it was the bruery but not really, and it seemed most of them were just not ready to have the majority of the options be sour. While the real beer nerds may love sours, it still hasn't hit the average joe yet. Hopefully this is just a case of terreux being ahead of it's time and it will find its stride soon.

Another vote for prefering the Terreux tasting room.

Henhouse in Santa Rosa did something similar to this called Conceptual Nightmare. 55 ingredients.

Had not heard about that one; thanks for sharing. The generally positive reviews on (unnamed beer review app) suggest to me that some of the adjuncts in that photo might have been included at slightly lower quantities than others.

    Gaston eats five dozen eggs.

Kudos to you man. I've always wondered what you do with all the bruery beer you say you max out on.

I love Terreux. I try to go at least once a week to either place. I really like chatting with the staff members though and the main taproom is the best place to do that. Most people should learn that if its a weekend, they should hit up Terreux. Much easier to navigate and you still get great options.

    Agreed!

If I have time, I visit both locations since I usually have to pickup bottles. Otherwise, I would definitely go to Terreux instead.

I picked up the Terre Sauvage snifter that The Bruery sold back in August, that can hold the contents of a 750ml bottle.

This has become my "go to" glass for big barrel aged beers. For me its perfect. I typically pour in roughly 8 oz. I've never had an issue with pouring to much, because for me the whole point of the glass is to leave a lot of room in the vessel to capture the nose of the beer.

I'm looking forward to picking up the snifter that comes with the membership. I'm glad to be getting another one this size.

I still have a ton of beer because I buy more than I drink. I also have cut back a little recently, my new job (no longer in beer) has hindered it slightly. It's a bad idea to drink on the job when you're running heavy power/air tools. It was way easier to drink working in a beer store and I had a good bit of customers coming in to share stuff too.

I hope it's huge. I want the whole bottle in there. Keeps me asking the kids to get my bottle, and I don't have to trek back into my house from our outdoor living area for it.

Sorry I can't verify the same feelings. Maybe small hands?
