Dragon's Milk Triple Mash

    It was released last year but this years version of the Dragon's Milk Reserve series was just released. Anyone try it yet?? Holy smokes, it was like a dessert (and it's 17%). I may be jaded because I'm an avid Dragon's Milk drinker but I found it very delicious, especially for its cost:ABV ratio.

    Haven't tried all the variants, but that one is my absolute favorite.

    Out of last years releases I'd vote:
    1) coconut rum
    2) triple mash
    3) vanilla chai
    4) raspberry lemon

    I was incredibly impressed by the coconut rum.

    We haven't gotten Coconut Rum around here yet. Haven't tried Raspberry Lemon and turned down Vanilla Chai, because I'm not a fan of chai flavored beers. Was very disappointed in Coffee & Chocolate though.

    I had the triple mash on draft, it was absolutely amazing. Very fruity, great bourbon/vanilla notes. I was surprisingly not hot for a 17%. I was also fortunate enough to snag a bottle that will wit in the cellar for a decade.

    I just cracked my 2015 version (14%) and man was it a little too sweet for me. It was good don't get me wrong and I finished it because I don't leave wounded soldiers, but if I had a choice I'd go with the regular version. Curious how the 2017 compares.

    I am happy that a beer from Michigan is loved, but dang am I far off from everyone else on this one.

    I found it to be a overly rich boozy mess yet drank the whole thing and woke up with a huge headache. I quit drinking for a few months after that. I still have not regained my taste for any BA Imperial Stout.

    Not that I have found. I stopped at a few places last week and again last night and found nothing. One store said next week maybe.

    I'm looking for it in the Kalamazoo area if anyone sees it. We're cellaring all last year's releases (I'm an oddball and think the raspberry lemon was the best, closely followed by coconut) and I'd love to add this to the shelf. It's always fun to try all the varieties together.
