Ticketed are still available per the website? Is that a joke? Never attended this event but I was under the impression it sold out quickly. Anyone surprised tickets are still available?

 

People ruining it for everyone.

 

I'm setting up a rather large share with friends at a place before Huna Day. Haven't confirmed anything but I'm letting them know they can take photos, join in the share, ect. for instagram and facebook to promote their brewery and I'm also making sure everyone attending purchases at least 2 beers from them.

 

@lionelhutz23 Would this be a share some of us from BA would be able to attend?

 

Probably not at this point. Last year we had around 30 people and that was pushing the limits. If we have a lot of people decline coming then potentially. I gave the location an upper limit and I don't want to show up with more people than I told them.

I posted it mainly to show that you can get a bottle share setup but it's going to take the share making it worth the locations time and effort. I sold it as a marketing opportunity.

 

FYI, the Huna Day website now has some of the beers listed breweries will be bringing.

Pretty decent list so far - excited to see what else they add in the coming weeks. Also, the Voodoo guys weren't lying when they said they were going to bring their big guns...

 

Love how there's the chance to compare Abraxas (+ maybe Mexican Cake) with Huna all at the same place.

 

Spoiler Alert, Huna >> Cake

 

And Abraxas >> Huna, IMO.

Not a huge fan of Abraxas but to each their own. I think Cake is over-hyped, I dont normally care about texture but cake is too weak and isnt amazing in the other categories either. I hate to be one of those guys, but this is a recent trend Cake, it used to be better (or there wasn't the competition there is now).

That being said the variants are stellar and live up to the hype and if you haven't had Cake don't let my wild ranting deter you from trying some.

Totally understand. Everyone's tastes are different. Abraxas is also a lot more cinnamon than Huna or Cake.

For the guy who is excited to compare - you definitely should be! Maybe Pipeworks will bring End of Days for another beer for the comparison.
