I hope the lines aren't as crazy as they were for Cloud Party. Neon is easily in my top 3 of best IPA's I've ever had.

 

Neon was probably my favorite IPA last year. I'm so bummed I will be out of town.

 

no haze, a repeat. Most likely a short line. Even tho it's one of the best damn west coast ipas made

Had the Occupied Space, got pretty good as it warmed up a bit.

 

I doubt the line will be too hectic. In fact I'll probably stop and get some al pastor tacos before I even get in line

 

I don't think there was a lot of hype when they released it last time (within the last 6 months) so I doubt its crazy.

 

Where will you be getting them? I was thinking something from Azteca.

Oh, and beer stuff relating to HPB - uhhhh... maybe I'll try to score some Neon too.

 

Aaah, I'll be in my lawnchair at 1am Friday morning.

 

Neon was released 5/20/16 and sold out in approximately 3.5 hours. I believe the limit started at 3x 4-packs and went down to 1x 4-pack for the last case. I think there were approximately 110 cases.

SPECULATION [no guarantees made, based on past trends for second releases of west coast IPA releases]: I would expect a limit of 4x 4-packs, and a line of about 35-45 people at release time and a steady stream/with some quiet lulls of people over the ensuing few hours. The biggest unknown area is how the previous East Coast release has affected people's mindset for this release and if there is a Monkish release.

Data Points for the curious:
1UP canning #2, ~140 cases, limit 6, sold through about 100 cases day 1, the rest lasted 2ish days. I think this was a Tuesday or Thursday release (?). (Also sold bottles of BA JJ and there was a Monkish release that day).
Hello, LA canning #2, ~120 cases* (*less sure about this number), mostly limit 2 (first 36 people were limit 3), lasted all day, may have been minor trickle into the next day, I think this was a Saturday release.

Monkish is listing one can release on their website this week... I'm betting it'll be Friday as well and should help Neon last longer.

 

I hope you're right. Anything to distract the Haze Bros away from this. Going to try and make at opening and get that meatloaf sandwich.

I don't think you have to, but I do think you should.

 

Yeah, I think I need a night of fresh cold air. All that rain the last couple of weeks got me in the mood to camp out now that it's mostly sunny.

 

If for some amazing reason there's still any 4-packs left around 7:30, which I'm doubting, I'll be stopping by and also picking up my Occupied Space bottles.

If not, I usually prefer going there on Sat/Sun afternoons when it's less busy.
