Jester king made two SPON variants that mixed fruit and were amazing. One was raspberry & cherry and the other was peach & apricot.

Ah, should've clarified more. I meant a lot of varieties of fruits - more than just 2 fruits and a variety of types - apples, oranges, grapes, etc.

A lot of stone fruit beers have multiple types of stone fruits but those all work really well together. Raspberry and cherry also complement each other pretty well (think the old Cantillon Framboise beers had added cherries for color).

Also, good to know about those Spon variants - just got both of those fruited versions a couple weeks ago. Still missing the Flor, though.

While too many flavors can become muddled, they can sometimes become greater than the sum of its parts as well.

POG juice for example would make a great choice.

The Fruit Salad sour at Bruery anniversary last year was fantastic.

Sure, I'm not opposed to a depth of flavor - barrel, malts, hops, fruits, funk, etc. I am referring to specifically too many fruits - i.e. Toolbox Sangria comes to mind..

Have not had POG Juice - who makes it?

Also, I believe someone can throw a "fruit salad" in and make it taste delicious. I just have not run across one yet.

Hopefully they will have it again this year now that I am an RS member.

The term POG in juices refers to Passion, Orange, and Guava fruits. I have seen the juice made by a few brands, but a googling shows it started in Hawaii which makes sense.

As for beers, most recently I had a pint of a POG IPA from Bottle Logic on tap at Stone. The whole time I could imagine how well the flavors would work as a sour too.

**edit - After a quick search I guess Bottle Logic did indeed call it POG Juice.

Cheers... yah, I'm a big fan of the guava-passion combo. Really liked that version of Fruitlands by MT.

I guess I'm thinking a real traditional fruit salad - grapes, apples, oranges, melons, bananas. Haha.

I'd be willing to try a traditional one as well

I'm sure there aren't too many, but Serendipity comes to mind as a well executed mix of different fruits. It's not my favorite sour, but I'm always willing to drink some when it's around.

PB & Thursday, not much PB. Happily it's still a lot of BT.

So Beachwood Blendery just released Careful with that Fruit Salad Eugene today. Lambic style with plum, pluot, guava and coconut.

I enjoyed PB&T for what it was. It was mainly BT with a PB backdrop. It didn't have gobs of PB in it, but what could really cut through the rich base that is BT? I think the PB would have been better suited for the Share This base. It's not as rich and drier than BT.

I liked it quite a bit, but a lot of people don't like it.

The society bottle opener sucks. I either feel like the bottle or opener is going to break when I use it.
