Just opened a 12/10/15 bottle of The Bruery's So Happens It's Tuesday and it tastes a lot more like Tart of Darkness than any of their stouts. A definite sour cherry twang throughout the entire sip that reminds me of The Abyss the year it was infected. Anyone else drink a bottle like this?

Yep, I cracked one a couple months back from around that bottle date and it was sour. None too please.

There was a batch that was infected. Contact the Bruery customer service.

I have a bottle in my cellar right now: Batch #2661 bottled 12/03/2015. I have been considering cracking it awhile since I read a couple reviews that indicated some bacteria. Thanks for the post, I will have to respond again once I have tried mine.

I have had this beer at the brewery back in 2014 when it was 11% ABV, and even though they were pouring it out of bottles from their fridge, they were not selling the bottles. I inquired about purchasing a bottle because my girlfriend and I agreed that it was pure liquid gold, especially paired with the fried chicken and waffle food truck there that day. However, they said they were not selling bottles because they were concerned about bottle bombs. So they have been trying to get this issue sorted a while now it seems.

I will note that my bottle was purchased ($20) from a fridge and stored at 42 degrees since then. So hopefully when I report back it won't be with disappointment. Was your bottle of S.H.I.T. (So Happens It's Tuesday) cellared in suboptimal conditions WorldWideStout? Just curious, thanks again for the thread.

And to answer your question BruChef the acronym for this beer suggests it already is SHIT.

Ah damn. I have a bottle in the cellar as well that is next in line to be opened. Where do I find the bottled-on date and batch number? Thanks, everyone, for the notice.

The latest 2016 batch that's available now (purple capsule) is not infected. It's the 2015 batch before that one (red capsule) that is infected.

Their bottles are lazer etched on the lower neck, might have to rub the condensation off to spot it.

I've heard that it was infected and I never had a problem with the few bottles I tasted.

good luck........years ago I drank Mischief a lot. I like the beer and it was $6. I opened a bottle and it was 100% flat. I emailed the Bruery and was told "unless it was purchased direct from the Bruery and you have a receipt we cant do anything for you." I was told to go back to where I bought it and ask for my $ back.

I have not bought a Bruery product since and will not be buying any again. Why should the retailer pay for your bad beer I asked. That was the end of their conversation.

    Enjoy
