Other Half Brewing January 2017!

Any idea what next weekend cans are?

 

Andrew said double Mosaic dream and hop showers. Third and Nummy will be on tap along with a new DIPA, Emerald Cities, at Beer Street next Saturday.

 

What's the parking situation like around Other Half on the weekends? Street parking available pretty easily?

 

Street parking is readily available. I tend to park on the same block every time I go out there and I never run into any issues.

I can't remember, is the tap room open on Monday or do their hours start on Tuesday? I was gonna swing down for another 4 pack of the 3rd anniversary this shit is unreal. Also, congrats to them for being ranked the 10th best brewery in the world at ratebeer fest....it is well deserved.

 

Not open on Mondays. Open at 5 pm on Tuesday.

Congratulations Other Half! I always knew there was a good reason I've been bragging about you guys to anyone who would listen. A friend of mine constantly says you're the best brewery in NY...I think we can start expanding that territory now.

 

Damn, if you haven't popped over to Other Half's page on here it's worth a visit for the nostalgia alone. I didn't start digging IPA's until just before 2nd Anniversary, so that was one of my first Other Half beers. I can't believe how many incredible beers we've had through the last year I had completely forgotten about while obsessing over the new drops. Really excited to see how these guys are doing at their 10th anniversary, congrats team OH!

 

Just cracked the Cane Life I picked up yesterday - it had zero carbination (not low carbination, it was completely flat) and tasted oxidized. Did anyone else have this experience? I wonder if the cap seal leaked a bit; I saw some posts about some of the bottles springing leaks.

 

In and out in 10 minutes. 3rd Anniversary is drinking amazing. Mosaic+Motueka is good, but 3rd Anniversary is ridiculous. Best I've had of 2017 so far.

 

That's great but we're not even a full month in yet so...

 

Seriously it's insane the strides OH has made over the past year even. I can't pinpoint where things got on another level, but 3rd anni is incredible and I can't wait for what's still to come this year.

I think from Like Whoa is where OH started really hitting things out of the park. The beers they're producing is top notch week after week.

 

For me I think the turning point was back in May when they released the collab with Cellarmaker. From that point on the beers have just been next level.

 

Not sure what I'm missing. I love pretty much everything they put out but 3rd is drinking super boozy right now out of can imo. I usually let the cans settle for a week or two so I know I can look forward to that, but enough people said that this is their best beer or top three that I feel like something is wrong with my palate lol.

 

If you think 3rd Anniversary is boozy, yes, your palate is broken af
